Bengals At Steelers

Get ready for Burrow to pass early and often:

I won't be surprised if he has 50+ pass attempts on the day.

We need turnovers. That's how this team wins.

Minkah needs to turn back the clock next weekend

I'd assume we'll have to break the 30 point barrier to win again. Hopefully we don't need to break 40.

Likely going to rest players after the Ravens roll the Browns.

We might, but I would like to see our offense get back into a rhythm, Russ has not been seeing the field well and I would try and sharpen him up going into the playoffs.

Speaking of Minkah, the guy has morphed into Mike.Mitchell.2.0. Minkah is lined up so far back he has no chance at making any plays on the ball. The opponents are playing 11 on 10 in this defense.

Is everyone overrating the Bengals because of their fantasy football stars? Denver is the best team they’ve beaten all year, they’re 9-7. Dallas is 7-9, the other six wins are against teams with 3 or 4 wins.

Even if they sneak in, they’ll likely get destroyed by a playoff offense.

Everyone has a bit of a fear of the Bungles because they know they'll likely have to win a shootout. Lucky for most teams, the Bungles D sucks.

Opening as home dogs. I like it. Team plays a lot better as the dog.

Bengals vs. Steelers odds

Point spread: Steelers +1.5

Over/under: 48.5

Moneyline odds: Steelers +102, Bengals -120

Unfortunately for the Steelers, momentum has swung significantly in favor of the Bengals since their last meeting in Week 13. Though Cincinnati sits at just 8-8, they’ve won each of their last four matchups since their last meeting with the Steelers, including a 30-24 OT win over the Denver Broncos (https://www.milehighreport.com/) in Week 18 to keep their playoff hopes alive. QB Joe Burrow (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BurrJo01.htm?utm_medium=linker&utm_source=voxmedia .stories.usechorus.com&utm_campaign=2024-12-29_pfr) is playing at an MVP level this season despite some of the team’s struggles on defense that have contributed to their current standing.

Speaking for myself...

We've had really bad pass defense without Porter.

And we haven't been able to score much recently.

To me it's more about us than them.

But IIRC, we were mostly down on the team before the last Cincy game. Hopefully we can "get right" this game.

Sounds like there's a decent chance Porter will be back for this game

If Porter is healthy and in, and Cam Sutton is mostly on the bench...

Steelers 27
Bumgals 23

If Porter is not fully healthy and Cam Sutton plays more than half the snaps on D?

Bumgals 30
Steelers 27

The team is in turmoil on both sides of the ball. But the Bungles usually find an epic way to Bungle a game. That's how we're gonna have to win it I think. Maybe Joey Porter Jr. - even if on the bench - can pull a move from his dad and get the Bungles to implode.

We are certainly not playing well at all the last three games, but the Bengals are by far the easiest opponent we’ve faced in a month and it’s at home.

I hope we blow them out and go into the playoffs with some confidence.
