    Hard Knocks.......finally

looking forward to this version of the AFC North. While week one will probably suck with the steelers loss to the browns - week 2 should be epic since the Steelers were the only winners.

and fun watching the browns collapse in epic fashion against the broncos tonight. Let's hope the steelers make a statement revenge game this weekend.

Jameis threw 6 TD’s. Unfortunately 2 of them were to the other team.

story of his career. he can be brilliant at times, but that throw behind for a pick 6 was back breaking. he's done that far too often in his career for anyone to consider him as anything more than a backup IMO.

This week's episode was great. You can really see the team is moving in the right direction and they are out here having fun.

Trying hard not to view that episode through Yinzer goggles - but dang, the Steelers should be the ONLY team ever featured on Hard Knocks. HBO gave the tons of air - and it was awesome. Tomlins ability to motivate, speak, makes him the most entertaining HC in all of professional sports.

Also Kudos to HBO for focusing on the games from 2 days ago. That's pretty impressive to be able to edit from multiple locations and get to air that quick. Plus, I didn't want to relive the loss the browns.

But that was fantastic. Shame on the Steelers for depriving us of seeing behind the 'curtain' for so long.

Oh, and after that intimate look at how Tomlin conducts business - anyone who thinks there's a remote possibility he'll ever be fired by the Art II - is delusional.

I think it also puts to bed the ridiculous narrative that Tomlin isn't an X's and O's guy and only coaches from his gut.

I wonder how much of this is because they know for sure that the Steelers will continue to do everything possible to make sure they aren't on Hard Knocks ever again.

Tomlin is a reluctant star.... During the team's press conference on Tuesday, Tomlin was humorously asked if he would be watching the debut of the AFC North's Hard Knocks series. The head coach kept his answer short and sweet: "Absolutely not."

wouldn't surprise me a bit. I'm going to really enjoy the next few weeks, even more so if the team keeps winning.

Tomlin and the Steelers are perfect for HK. Tons of personalities without the goofy stuff some players tend to do to get airtime.

Harbaugh was boring and the Browns staff seemed like they just cussed during their while segment, lol.

Bengals and Steelers seemed to have the most nuanced discussions about game planning.

I do wonder who I need to contact to get a gig creating those powerpoints for the team. That wound be a fun gig.

                      Tomlin hates Hard Knocks.

behind the scene footage after the game shows Tomlin asking them to take the mic off him.

Tomlin: Take this sh#t off me
Broderick Jones: awe man, you were mic’d up? You the feds
Tomlin: Shut up! Bring yo ass on.

Clearly Najee doesn’t know Tomlin does not like to be called a “players coach”.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                          TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Unfortunately, the "it should not be named" stigma exsist until this day. That being said, there are times that all coaches make decisions based on their "guts" experience, flow of the game, players, ect.

Tomlin is a great coach... and sh#t is his favorite word. For all the Tomlinisms and gift of gab, his favorite word is rather simple but very effective.

Maybe I'm bias but Tomlin is putting on a clinic compared to what these other coaches are doing. I know they aren't showing the game plans but the messaging is so crips when it comes to Tomlin. Clearly this is a lot more than a "go out and beat your man" philosophy.
