    More George Pickens Thuggery

Hey Tomlin, why don't you get your thug WR under control so that the team doesn't get backed up on offense by idiotic penalties? That is why you're the worst coach in the league!

Reality is I have no problem with his passion. 20 years ago that wasn't a penalty. Taunting your opponent ramps up the intensity. That's a problem with the modern NFL too soft

What a f'n idiot. Two stupid penalties in one game. Yet Tomlin stands on the sidelines like a retard and does nothing about it.

Yea. Let's take him out of the game and then lose it while he's sitting on the bench.

Yes, let's keep in the game so we can teach GP that there are NO consequences for his poor decision making so that he'll take more stupid penalties in a playoff game when it really matters.

Pickens is an idiot. I don't see how that can be attributed to Tomlin in any way whatsoever. You can't cure stupid.

So is Tomlin for doing nothing in regard to him. Punish the dummy, if he doesn't learn from it bench him and if he still doesn't learn from that get rid of him. How does this always happen to WRs for the Steelers even before Pickens?

              The common denominator is MT.

Pickens now has 850 yards, will easily going over 1000, and is over 400 more than the next guy - Muth. There is no deep threat without him. No WR has the talent & body control he has. Not close.

MT could bench him but it would be cutting off his nose to spite his face. He is a complete knucklehead. No one would argue that. But trade him in the off season if you are drafting a high WR & bringing in a high FA.

They have no chance this year without his talent.

I would argue that we won't win a playoff game with Pickens in the lineup. He can't handle the pressure of a regular season game. Just think of what will happen in a close playoff game with far more pressure. It won't be good I'm willing to bet. That is why MT needed to crack down on GP antics earlier in the season.

Listen, I'm not saying that Pickens isn't extremely talented but talent without a football IQ combined with no accountability spells trouble ahead.

I agree the time to trade Pickens will be in the offseason.

With your plan (benching him) the Steelers don't even make the postseason. But, three cheers for you. You taught him a lesson.

Pickens antics continue to disrespect the fundamental team nature of this game. Every time he does something like what he did today, it is all about him and not the team. The leadership on this team needs to be in his earhole and hold him personally accountable. Tomlin needs to start sitting him down for plays and hold him professionally accountable.

That said, he is simply immature and needs to grow up. Your use of the word thuggery is over the top and probably says more about you than anything. Then of course, you try to pile on Mike T via your obsessive game of six degrees of guilt. Calling him the worst coach in the league again says more about you than anything else.

The Steelers are not going to sit George. Today's penalties against him weren't that bad by historic standards. They wouldn't have been penalties 20 years ago but in the new Sesame Street NFL they are.

I think your virtue signaling is over the top. I speak the truth about George Pickens being a thug. There are numerous incidences from his time with the Bulldogs and the Steelers to definitively and logically conclude that Pickens is a thug.

The evidence is right there over the course of both his college and professional career. Fighting and scuffles seem to a normal thing for George lately. He's had 6 fines already in his career. He's likely getting another one this week.

I don't need you to lecture me on using the term thug as I have my own eyes. I see a thug in Pickens like a saw a thug in Dwayne Haskins. I was right and you're 100% wrong.

Tomlin is the worst coach in the NFL. We know this because he has the longest losing streak among coaches during the playoffs. That my friend is only of several reasons that he should be fired. I thought that 10+ years ago.

Per Ramon Foster, the best way to get the attention of players is to fine them for conduct.

Teams apparently have huge latitude with these fines.

They are internal and not public (unlike the fines from the league).

It would be interesting to know if the Steelers have gone that route. If they have done this very thing a few times and he's still acting up he's a bigger problem then I previously concluded.
