You really should quit pretending you know what Tomlins intentions are my friend. It is embarrassing how wrong you have been. LOL

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

      And notice the changed narrative?
It WAS Tomlin handcuffed ALL QBs (including Ben).

Now it is just Fields Tomlin does not trust, who as you note came in a blizzard game to throw a bomb on a short yardage down? Hilarious
nah.. not even worth going back other years.

I just hope we start targeting Pickens on more than 50/50 balls because his best attribute is running after the catch. He can take any slant to the house if it's on target but too often he is jumping and diving for balls.

Dan Campbell favored over Mike Tomlin, Kevin O’Connell for Coach of the Year

          Published December 2, 2024

Lions coach Dan Campbell is the betting favorite to win the NFL’s Coach of the Year award.

Campbell, who took over a Lions team that was perhaps the NFL’s worst franchise and has them at 11-1, has +120 odds for Coach of the Year at DraftKings.

The two coaches with the next-shortest odds are Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell, both of whom are at +400.

COTY should go to the HC that exceeds expectations by the greatest margin. Right now, it's a virtual tie between Tomlin and Campbell based on preseason win total odds. At season's start DET had odds at 10.5 wins, Steelers had odds at 8.5. The last month of games should settle it.

That's fair... OTOH, Detroit was in the NFCCG last year and while they're arguably the best team in football right now, I'm less surprised by them than I am by the Steelers.

We'll see how these next 5 go but if they end up at say, 12-5 or better and/or win the division, it's a really strong case for Tomlin. Plus, I'm not sure how often there's an obvious single coaching move that you can point to that affects a team for the better like the decision to go with Russ over Fields.

Tomlin never won the Coach of the year award. Stefanski won COTY twice within a 4 year period. Who did the Browns pay off that the Steelers didn't pay off?

Maybe we should ask Myles Garrett?

6.5… thus they are impressive too.

the league really wants the Browns to be good.
