The play resulted in 7 points against us. You are 100% wrong.

I don't hate Tomlin, I hate his coaching. Does that help you?

If it doesn't I have a suggestion. You can go on TikTok and make some videos. Perhaps you can scream or cry on video, hate on the orange man and join the 4B movement. It seems to me that your views match their logic better, lol.

You're welcome Flasteel. Hope you're doing well despite the fact I disagree with that type of game management.

I’m going to do a 180 on this after listening to Starkey and Pompeani’s reasoning for liking it on The Fan.

By doing this from that spot on the field, Tomlin was telling his team “we got these guys even if we spot them a TD”.

That is the antithesis of NOT living in your fears and players respond when the coach has that much confidence in them.

The best part is that Prowler is from Canada IIRC.

Although I think maybe he was talking about moving.

And if you are Prowler. If you can swing it, go for it. Moving to the US was easily the best decision we've ever made for our family. Cost of living and commute times were just crushing in Canada (we were around Toronto...but probably true close to any of the big 3 cities...maybe less so in Montreal?)

100% Never fake a punt form you own 15 yard line. You have a better chace calling a pass play with your QB and skill players. This was possibly the worst call in a Tomlin coached game is 17 years.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

For years everyone has been bitching at the Steelers playing it safe. I for 1 liked the call. I do not think it was Tomlins call, but as the HC he had to know it was an option.

Not true the play was wide open your chances of converting a wide open lob pass is much higher than lining up and going for it on 4th and 15. Also, again it wasn't a play call from Tomlin, try understanding what actually happened before calling it the worst coaching decision.

huh? Trying to convert with the D covering WR's and facing the QB is easier than throwing to a wide open man when the punt team is setting up for a return?

I could see if the pass was out of bounds or the punt team sniffed it out but throwing to a wide open player and hitting him in the hands with the football is a much better option to convert on 4th down.

I am not a Tomlin hater I am a supporter. That being said I think that was an unnecessary risk at that time of the game. It gave a boost to the Commanders and our D was rolled easily.

It turned the momentum of the game at that time. I said at the time it was a stupid move. I think the decision maker, Killebrew should not have that authority in that situation. It reflects a lack of confidence in our ability to stop them. I know that wasn't what we thought but it gives life to them after we were smacking them around.

                          It was an unnecessary risk.

I'm still thinking about moving to the USA fulltime. We haven't quite figured out the best option to do this legally, yet. The other option would be to buy a condo in the Vegas area living there in the winter months and back in Canada for the warmer months.

For me Canada has been destroyed by the lunatics running the country. The traffic wasn't an issue for me. Even when I lived in Calgary for a year the commutes were really good. Toronto however is a f'n disaster, I'll never go through that shi*hole again not even to visit. I'll go 30 minutes out of my way and go around it instead.

I still feel the same about it.

The play itself was brilliant. It's just the situation it was called in, wasn't. If we were near mid-field, go for it. But so close to our own end zone, the risk is too high for the reward. If he makes the catch, we still likely need to go 60+ yards to score. But, if ANYTHING goes wrong, the Commanders have the ball at OUR 15, gifting them points.

At our own 15, you call the play that you routinely make. A punt. You don't call the play that you've never made before unless you are desperate at that point in time, which we weren't. It ended up being a momentum killer that felt like it took a while to recover from.

Might be the best call in 17 years. No one was expecting it & Pierre didn't have a player within 20 yards of him.
