The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a trade with the New York Jets to acquire wide receiver Mike Williams, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

Mike Williams was a 1st rounder back in 2017. Had some good years. Gone over 1000 yards twice. Last year he only played in 3 games.

Jets really not using him at all this season. 12 receptions on 21 targets for 166 yards. Zero TDs.

Another trade: Pittsburgh is trading a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Jets for WR Mike Williams, per source.

Traded a 2025 5th rounder for him. I don't think it moves the needle a heck of a lot, but it does take a little time to recover from an ACL. It also helps to safeguard against any injury to Pickens. I don't think this team was as desperate at WR as many believed but I like the move nonetheless.

Not really much to celebrate but if there was any name that popped up it would've been his..

Not sure it will be anything more than depth but welcome MW!!

I also like it. They got the player they were serious about in free agency. Clearly they like what he offers

Agreed. Depth at this point, not much more.

Just saw his contract details. He was on a one-year, $10M deal and the Steelers end is $627,500. 30 years old coming off ACL, I don't know what he brings but very little downside.

Mike Williams has 12 receptions and Van Jefferson has 14 on the season so where’s the upgrade at that position other than Williams being 3 inches taller?
Obviously the standard is the standard.

And VJ didn't cost a draft pick. Honestly, a fifth for Williams seems a bit rich when you consider the Ravens only paid a 5th for DJ who is a better receiver at this point.

                        Pretty meh.

Player that probably won't be all that impactful for a draft pick that probably won't end up turning into a player that dresses.

It's not "bad", but it's not exciting either.

Nothing sexy, but depth, insurance and an experienced vet who will be good for the locker room.

                          worth a 5th rounder.

Meh - at first blush I don't like it. Now we don't have a 5th round pick next year and either we don't have a 4th round or 6th round pick, depending on if Fields plays over 50% of the time.

Probably lose Najee, so we need a RB, will need a QB as we can don't one under contract next year. I think we may extend either Wilson or Fields but not both.

Also, need DL and depth for DL. I hate pissing away these draft picks.

Now we traded our 7th round pick for Preston Smith, Edge, Packers.
