This is definitely the most exciting thing about watching Pickett play.

Hopefully this is something he can do over long stretches when teams are game planning for him.

Because if it is, then the league really screwed up letting him fall to us. Just like CLE passing over Ben.

I think we'll all be very happy if "history rhymes" in this way.

Gonna be a lot of teams kicking themselves for passing on Pickett and Ridder in a couple years.
 
Another reason I’d like to see KP play from day 1 is so he learns faster.

KP has worked to get good and I just don’t see the NFL being overwhelming for him.

Will good players and coaches force him into making mistakes? Absolutely. But the sooner it happens, the better.

Cincy has an awesome D. It’s a great opp to see where KP really is if he goes against them. Then coaches like Billy B can have some tape to game plan against him and challenge him to learn more faster.

At the end of the day, steel sharpens steel. And KP isn’t a young kid that’s unsure of himself. You get a sense of his confidence every time he talks, the way he commands the huddle, the way guys up their game around him, etc.

I like Mitch. He’s a nice guy. And he probably deserves a chance to get to start in this league again. But unfortunately for him, he’s no KP.
 
Not sure if this has been posted in one of the other Pickett threads. Pretty encouraging IMO.

But some comments about trying to read things faster (past the 1st read) or go through progressions in a different way. Warner generally makes these sound like minor things IMO.

love that camera angle.

It does make me laugh remembering all the “ the other guy was open” type of stuff you see when there’s an incompletion or int.
like on the 2 pt conv to the TE. The back was wide open but wasn’t the 1st read
