Pickett or Trubisky

You need to grow out of the stage where anyone who doesn't rank the Steelers' team/players/coaches as the best are "haters" or "biased".

You accused me of being a "hater" because I questioned a draft pick. Hmmmmmmmmmm, things that make you go hmmmmmmm. Bizoink. (drops mic)

Unneeded banter. They haven't even begun the competition yet. The starter will be determined after camp and pre-season competition.

Steelers fans expecting Trubisky, not Pickett, to be the Week 1 starting quarterback

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback competition is getting ready to heat up, but fans believe the Week 1 starter will be Mitchell Trubisky.

You're come up with 19 different scenarios in which you hope Tomlin will fail in the next few years but sure, everyone else should just hold their horses and let this play out. :D

Speaking of unneeded banter...

I wish Whisper, Joel, Whatever, NJ Steeler and few others would just form a coaching conglomerate and take over a team and show everybody how things should be done. It is so easy to sit on the sidelines and throw stones and find a fault but doing it, is another matter. If they could only do this, it would be like watching the Killer Clowns. 0- 100 would be result. Would the players respect that coaching crew?

it would look like a 1950 ivy league football team by the time they were done purging the roster.

DK Pittsburgh Sports' Dale Lolley called Mitchell Trubisky "the clear No. 1 QB" during minicamp.

Mason Rudolph was the backup with rookie Kenny Pickett serving as the No. 3 quarterback. Lolley added, "It could be a glimpse into how things will be once the regular season begins, as well." Trubisky was brought in on a two-year, $26 million contract that is loaded with incentives based on playing time and playoff success. The contract is more than an average backup deal, though it doesn't exude confidence in the former first-round pick. This will be a battle to monitor throughout camp, though it's clear that Trubisky has the inside track to be the Week 1 starter.

We can win double digits with Trubisky. We win 5-6 games with Pickett. Easy decision.
This is an excellent post.
So with MT yeah we could get 10 wins imho. With Pickett yeah 6 wins might be the max or near the max for 2022.
Fast forward to the 23 NFL season. Can we win a Super Bowl with MT in 23? Can we win a SuperBowl with KP in 23? So who gives us the best shot to win it all a year from now n for the years beyond that? There is no right or wrong here. We are speculating.
I would rather take my lumps with Pickett this year to have a shot to contend in 23 n beyond. Perhaps he's not ready week one but if we're say around .500 mid year I'm getting KP in there even if we finish 6-11 or 7-10 so be it. I don't want to go 9-8 or so with MT and that's our ceiling. I don't care about no loosing seasons under Tomlin the goal is to win it all.
Kudos to Ovi for getting us thinking about how to look into the season ahead of us and the seasons beyond that.

Really? What was BR7's record in his rookie year? Oh, that Tommy Maddox was going to give us double digit wins but that damn rookie comes in and spoiled everything! Damn, I say... Damn. Dare I say 16-0 had they started that damn rookie?
