Steelers unveil unsightly throwback uniforms

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be celebrating their 80th season, so the team unveiled their throwback 1934 uniforms — and they look absolutely hideous.
Fortunately, the black-and-gold striped jerseys will be worn for just two games in 2012.
"We wanted to go back ... and recall some of the early days of the franchise," Steelers’ President Art Rooney II said. “Back in the early 1990's we wore the 1933 jersey for our throwback game, so we thought the 1934 jersey would be something different and would help us recall the early days of pro football."

Steelers unveil their 80th season throwback jerseys (Pictures)

The Steelers unveiled throwback jerseys they will wear this season to celebrate their 80th anniversary (the franchise began playing in the NFL in 1933). The team’s official Twitter account shared photos of running back Isaac Redman modeling the jersey, and I must say, they are hideous. They would definitely be right up there with the Broncos on our list of worst throwback jerseys ever.
