Three Players the Pittsburgh Steelers Could Select in the First Round that Would Leave Some Scratching Their Heads

Typically at this point in the draft process we have a pretty good idea of where the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to go with their first pick in the NFL Draft. However, this is not a typical draft and the Steelers could still go many different directions with their first pick. That also means they could still surprise us all by taking a player t...

At 1-2, Steelers should leave their talking for the field on Sunday

When you’re 1-2 and coming off a loss to a team you have no business losing too, now is hardly the time to be stirring the pot with pointless chatter if you’re the Pittsburgh Steelers. After all, who does these guys think they are, Anthony Smith?

Steelers Leave Wallace’s Offer On The Table

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The Pittsburgh Steelers had the opportunity to lower wide receiver Mike Wallace’s contract offer to as low as $ 577,500 Thursday night and chose not to do so.

There was a deadline at midnight Thursday to potentially lower Wallace’s offer, which is set at $ 2.7 million for the coming season, but the Steelers let the current offer remain on the table. The franchise reportedly did so because it wants to continue to negotiate a long-term deal with Wallace.

Wallace is holding out and has not appeared at Pittsburgh’s organized team activities or this week’s mini camp.

Team President Art Rooney II addressed the situation Wednesday and said, quite simply, “He should be here.”

Wallace caught 72 passes for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns last season.
