Report: NFL Considering Suspending James Harrison For Helmet-To-Helmet Hit On Colt McCoy

James Harrison has been a popular name over the past year around the NFL offices, where the league reviews helmet-to-helmet hits. Last season the Steelers defensive standout was fined $ 125,000 for illegal hits. Harrison’s most recent rule violation occured last week when he laid a helmet-to-helmet hit on Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy. McCoy, who suffered a concussion on the play and is not playing Sunday, was considered a “defenseless player” as he had thrown the ball before being hit.
