Pass Defense Struggling
The Pittsburgh Steelers pass defense has looked nothing short of pathetic the past three weeks. Brees and co. torched the steelers secondary with short, quick passes the majority of the second half last Sunday completing a staggering 21 of 22 passes.
We as fans should of known there was a problem when the secondary made the Browns' rookie, Colt McCoy look like a pro bowler in his first NFL start. McCoy looked good against the Steelers in Heinz Field by throwing for almost 300 yards.
The Colt McCoy torching was then followed by the Miami Dolphins, Chad Henne torching.
Things aren't going to get any easier for the secondary. This week , the Steelers play the Bengals and the secondary will have to find a way to deal with Chad Ocho Cinco, Terrell Owens, and Carson Palmer. Let's not forget that the Bengals beat the Steelers twice last year.
After that, Steelers face Tom Brady and the Patriots who surprisingly are looking like the best team in the NFL right now. Brady has a history of torching the Steelers secondary by spreading the ball around, and those "dink and dunk" passes. The same type of passes that Brees torched the Steelers seondary with last week.
