hope Max Starks will be healthy soon, there is no way that Mike Adams is ready to start at LT in the National Football League.
Steel Maniac's Time-Based Prediction: Lamar Jackson will be a bust and total flop in the NFL.

What Actually Happened: Lamar Jackson became the youngest two-time NFL MVP winner ever.

Mike Adams gave up 2 sacks in the first quarter before he left the game.

extrapolating that out he would have given up 8 sacks in the game and would allow 128 sacks over a 16-game season. so yeah, I would say that after seeing Adams' less than impressive performance against the Eagles' Philip Hunt who isn't even the Eagles first-string RDE.

Mike Adams injured in rough Pittsburgh Steelers debut

    By Dan Hanzus
    Aug. 10, 2012 a

The Pittsburgh Steelers took a calculated risk by starting rookie left tackle Mike Adams in Thursday night's preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

    The results weren't good.

Adams, the Steelers' second-round draft pick, had a debut to forget, allowing two strip sacks of Ben Roethlisberger in a nine-play stretch before leaving the game, won 24-23 by the Eagles, with a right knee injury.

Adams was taken to the locker room after hurting the knee. The severity of the injury is unknown at this time.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that both Adams and rookie guard David DeCastro would start Thursday despite some noticeable growing pains in training camp.

"We'll see more about them, and of course we'll know more about them by Thursday night," Tomlin said at the time.

What the Steelers learned was that Adams will need to greatly improve if Pittsburgh intends to plug him into the starting lineup in Week 1. That is, if he's even healthy enough to be considered an option.

He will be fine. First NFL game and you all are crying already. Really? You expect immediate probowl players. It is the same thing every year and everyone somehow forgets about the previous years. I remember when we drafted Mendenhall and Sweed in the first and second rounds and everyone was so excited over that. Same thing every year. Let the kids play a season of football and practice and improve. If they are terrible in a few year then you can start calling them out. Otherwise lay off. I am sure everyone here was the best person at their job the first few weeks they were there too.

And Jon Dwyer had 40 yards on two carries...

Extrapolating that out to 25 carries would mean that he would have rushed for 500 yards in a game...over a 16 game season, that would 8000 yards rushing, so yeah, I would say extrapolating doesn't necessarily tell the story...

    My 2 cents on O-line

Mike Adams was good in run blocking. Pass Protection was a different game altogether. I think with more reps he should be ok.

Ramon Foster is not a LG. He is a RG.

Marcus Gilbert struggled as much as Mike Adams in this game.

DeCastro and Pouncey were the stars of this O-line.

Legs was horrible. He might be on the bubble IMO.

Jolly, Beachum and Malecki were also horrible.

Lee looked good. Agreed it was against 5th stringers but still it looks like he has potential.

    Starting:- Starks-Colon-Pouncey-DeCastro-Gilbert
    Backup:- Adams-Foster

Ryan Lee - Backup or PS
    Steelers Draft 2015
Rd 1: Devante Parker - WR/ Kevin Johnson - CB
    Rd 2: Danielle Hunter -OLB
Rd 3: Steven Nelson - CB
    Rd 4: Derron Smith - S
Rd 5: Henry Anderson - DE
Rd 6: Wes Saxton - TE
Rd 7: Deon Simon - DT
