    Gotta have a partner in order to trade down........ maybe no one wanted to move up, then what? We're filling a need here at ILB.

    I wasn't crazy about the pick but that said it has been a while since the Steelers have had two premier athletes at ILB...

    The more I think about it, the more I like it. The guy was a tackling machine in a major conference for two years. And he runs sub 4.4! Clowney was drafted #1 basically on one year, and his athleticism.

    If Shazier isn't that level of athletic freak at his position, he's close.

    At least the Steelers didn't rush to the podium, but I think they could have traded down and still gotten Shazier. Or Mosley, a more solid overall linebacker.

    Was thinking the same thing. Maybe not Nix... maybe McLendon fills the role just fine. Or Fangupo. But with Shazier and Timmons (who isn't your classic run-stuffer; in many ways, another Shazier)... if we can let these guys run to the ball, our D will be fantastic!

    With Shazier's speed and explosion, could they move Jones inside and let Shazier play OLB, after his two year waiting period? (the waiting period comment is just for Ovi! )
