What other book predicted it so well when you look at:
2 Timothy 3
New International Version (NIV)
3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
Does this not sound like today's World? I don't condemn anyone...God is the judge of my sin and yours. But God also said to show people the truth...then you choose. You can be free with Him or choose to die in sin...That is the great thing about it is that God gave us a choice. I choose life, liberty, peace when I make a mistake...I choose God.
Sounds like every day and age... See the middle ages, coincidentally when the Catholic Church had damn near absolute authority.

Specifically the block quote part way down:As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen [Muslims],—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan [Mohammedan] nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
Regarding the mention of god on our money:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_God_we_trust
Wasn't there on ANY money until 1864. It wasn't on ANY papery currency until 1957. And it wasn't even associated as our "motto" until 1956.
Most of what I've read about hte founding fathers paints them as deists at best...
