CLEVELAND -- Mike Wallace, the Miami Dolphins' $60 million wide receiver, was unhappy after Sunday's season-opening victory over the Cleveland Browns, according to a newspaper report.
Wallace had one reception for 15 yards in his Miami debut, a 23-10 victory. He was targeted five times by quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
"I don't feel like talking," Wallace told the Miami Herald while on his way out of the locker room.
When another reporter pressed Wallace by asking about the game plan, the receiver said, "I don't feel like talking about it. Ask Coach."
The Herald said Wallace was visibly angry immediately after the game and was escorted off the field by Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland.
Tannehill said Cleveland doubled Wallace for much of the game, which allowed Brian Hartline (nine receptions, 114 yards) and Brandon Gibson (seven receptions, 77 yards) to have big games.
"I think they did a lot of things to take [Wallace] away," Tannehill said. "They clouded him and put a guy over the top. It's frustrating for him and our offense, as well. We want to give him the ball, and he's going to play a big factor in this offense the rest of the year. Today just wasn't the day for him."
The Dolphins signed Wallace to a five-year contract in the offseason. He was one of the top-rated players in free agency.

Seriously though, I don't ever remember Wallace not running by double coverage to get open deep. In fairness to him, he probably was open, but Tannehill never looked his way based on the presnap read.
What a selfish player. His teammates wouldn't have had the game they did if the Browns hadn't put as much effort into stopping him as they did. I'd take the W over the stats anyday. he already has his payday.

Mike Devlin in his 7th yr coaching the Jets O-line. Maybe just different coaching?? Jets have drafted some high picks too, D'brick and mangold to name two, but they usually have a good line. He has picked up some stunts pretty good.
