Lets not even play defense. We'll just keep the offense on the field the entire game.

Threads should be free especially when interesting graphics are included.

We do have 4 Linemen that probably should be on the field pretty regularly in Keisel, McClendon, Hood, and Heyward. And then likely Hampton when he gets back.

We may have problems with a healthy and productive 4 some of LBs.

    Base D is becoming passé...

For example, I read that the Packers in 2010 and 2011 spent roughly 30% of defensive snaps in the 3-4 base...the other 70% was mostly in a 2-5-4...

So, does that make the 2-5-4 their base?

    Does it really matter?

Exactly my point in another thread!! Until we see BASE OFFENSES going 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, it doesn't matter except maybe on 1st downs and 2nd and Short

It defines the type of players a team drafts.

I get jealous sometimes when I see the Giants able to get pressure on a QB with a 4 man front.

I'm not sure I'd want to model my defense after last year's Packer's D.

How about 2010's Packer D? It seemed pretty good to me in XLIII...

Base defense no longer defines a player that a team drafts, except perhaps in the later rounds...that's why Alameda Ta'amu was still available in the 4th...

Top defensive picks will be players who can fit into various sub packages as well...Ziggy Hood and Cameron Heyward are guys that can play in base or specialty defenses...not only will you see them (along with Keisel) on most passing downs, but in that Steelers goal line drill in camp, they used a 4 man line: Hood, Ta'amu, McClendon and Heyward...
