I wish we would have taken the 3rd round pick.

The good news is we don't need "anyone to take him." He isn't on this roster regardless. No way does Pgh sign him to a deal as high as the next lowest bidder. Whatever the market pays him will be more than Pgh is willing to.

That was an interesting assessment by Belichick. If Manny goes to the PATS, it will be interesting to see what kind of production they get out of him.

Sanders had a decent season for us...I'm not sorry he came back...

Not only would Ben have been unhappy, but the Steelers' WR corp would have been in trouble with Wheaton hurt...

+1... I am excited to see Wheaton get a shot though...and don't think that's going to happen as long as Manny is around.

the wr corp would have been fine with another wr drafted or a FA pickup.
it was a wasted opportunity to gain a valuable pick especially with the stupid decision to trade away our 3rd this year for a 3rd string qb

They could have easily found another WR. Stedman Bailey and Quinton Patton were both on the board. They may not have matched Sanders' production last year, but the team would be better positioned this year. If you weren't going to keep him long term, it was foolish to give up a third round pick for Sanders.
