whisper, you know what the loss of Tazz means.

We no longer have that one thing that bonds us all together.

No not the Steelers, the near universal disdain for Tazz.

Tomlin, Kenny, Cowher, Ben, Canada, Kordell... heck even the best uniforms. There is no unity of thought on anything else.

I fear the forum will descend into a hate filled cesspool without his unappreciated uniting force bringing the rest of us together.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

And I am willing to risk that with the knowledge that Tazz is gone. Let the hate-filled cesspool ensue, as long as it's without Tazz and his merry bunch of alias trolls.

Is Me, Myself, and I really gone?

or will they reappear once the offseason is over like a lot of folks who go into hibernation?

I don't know. In 34 games played he had only he 1 interception. Just one and it happed two years ago.

This year he has 11 passes defended which good. He is not a hard hitter with just one forced fumble in 34 games played, and has a low amount of tackles.

Okay so he is not a good tackler, hitter nor does he produce interceptions.

I have to watch him in isolation to see if he cover well. He might play very little man coverage. It depends on how he was used. Maybe he is a one on one shut down type of player. I do not have faith in our ability to pick corners in the draft.

How many yards did he surrender? Anyone know? This will tell me a lot.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

Well Stewart sucked and cost us glory didn't he? I wasn't posting back then, but Cowher won playoff games with Tozmack, Stewart, O'Donnell , and Maddox didn't he. Who was against him, which posters? He was 5-1 with Ben in the playoffs by the way and was far better on red flag coaching challenges than Tomiln. He only went three years in a row with no playoff wins , not six years as Tomiln has. If he did I want him gone!

Anyway put me in the block style #'s uniforms crowd.

You're just reading stat lines again. Have you seen him play a single down?

                IKR - I haven't watched, and I don't dare judge.
"He doesn't hit hard" based off fumbles caused is a weird flex... fumbles are usually based on NOT hitting hard, but instead reaching and swiping.

Do we have any hardcore PSU fans that would know?

Ive watched parts of 2 or 3 PSU games this year and other than thinking hey that’s Peezy’s kid, I really didn’t notice him a lot.

I’ve watched some highlights and he sort looks the part of a big CB. I do wonder how fluid he can be given his height.

I suspect his highlights don’t convey how good he is cause it seems like teams mostly avoided throwing his way and his real best plays may have been when the ball didn’t even come his way.

I watched a few PSU games but I have to be honest. Big 10 football is incredible frustrating to watch. Passing is a chore to watch so I have no idea how good he is because teams rarely throw the ball well in that conference.

Yes I have watched a few Penn State games and seen him play. But do you have his isolation film where I can better judge his coverage ability? How many yards did Porter surrender? These are important questions.

No, the more important questions are:

1.) Does he have a relative who played/worked for the Steelers currently or in the past?
2.) Did he grow up in western PA?
3.) Did he attend a PA college?

I mean nepotism and local boy mojo is what matters the most to the Steeler org.

Okay listen up! I have seen his highlights and some games played. I am judging him as a potential round pick for us.

The good, he is a very long corner with pass break up ability. That stands out on film. His lone pick in 34 game played was a poorly thrown ball is desperation time, one where he only had to catch a poorly thrown ball.

The questionable. He doesn't shown much deep or sideline coverage, mostly short on the clips.
His 40 time, 10 yard dash the yard time, and short shuttle time is? These drills best measure speed and change or direction ability. The cone drill to measure speed and cornering ability is?. Show me good times here and I can be excited.
He lacks tackles in general per game are very low and is not a hitter.
He is a very long legged type and these type of players don't change direction well in general being DB's.

Like I said get me his total yards surrendered and isolation tape and I could say more.
