when was the last time a draft was held indoors?

Convention center is way too small IMO. Has to be somewhere that can hold 100,000 people.

If I had a say, I would push for Point State Park. not sure what the capacity is but visually it would look great.
I lost a bet about Najee gaining 1300 yards.

I struggle to see where they could put crowds the size of what we saw in Detroit this year.

A great day for the fans!
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

I read that they will do it outdoors outside of Acusure. Probabaly block off the entire Northside along the river

Probably will erect a temporary structure to make sure that those on stage are protected by the elements. I expect lots of large screen TVs to allow folks to view it from different locations along the river

Oh yeah, the North Shore will be ideal and great for this event and the casino will profit. There is a lot of open space with a transit system and boats to deliver people to the environment.

Put the draft on our field. Acrisure Stadium.

yeah, I know the North Shore is the predicted spot. I guess due to the last 2 locations I was under the impression they liked places with open grass but Vegas was mostly concrete.

They definitely wont hold it at the convention center or the hockey arena

I bet its in the contract that you have to build a structure for it to be outdoors. Can’t remember the last time they had a draft that didn’t have a structure built for it outside.
I lost a bet about Najee gaining 1300 yards.

Draft in Chicago was held indoors, the Draft Town was in Grant Park outside. The weather sucked.

    that was a decade ago.

I think the NFL realized cutting fans off from the live experience was a bad idea.

These new structures protect people the stage from the elements but also give the rest of the fans a chance to experience the draft.

Was a huge success, which is why they did it two years in a row. Had no desire to be in the theatre, Draft Town had all the activities and tents with food, drink, TVs, etc. Nashville had an outdoor stage on Broadway, fan experience in the stadium across the river. Cleveland used several locations as well.

The 86th annual NFL Draft took place in downtown Cleveland, Ohio from April 29–May 1, 2021. The event took place at several locations, including FirstEnergy Stadium, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and three Rock the Clock End Zone activation sites: Flats East Bank, Mall C, and Playhouse Square
Detroit looked miserable to me, imagine being in that crush of humanity and having to take a piss.

If you don’t like crowds, don’t go to the draft. Its like going to New Years Eve downtown. It will be packed.

People who go to the draft know what they are in for so I think Detroit was a success as far as experiences go.
