Top 5 embarrassing losses since 2000

Today?s loss is definitely in the running and I would put it first, maybe because it?s fresh.

2009 (at Cleveland on TNF, home against Oakland)

    2002 home against expansion Houston

    2006, 2012, 2018 at Oakland

2020 against a bad Washington team on a Wednesday if I remember correctly

They have had a history of playing down to their opponents, but these were just bad losses to bad teams that was totally inexcusable.

I know it’s before 2000, but that 1999 loss to the expansion stains is the worst one recently.

The 51-0 shellacking by the stains under Noll was the worst all-time.

That performance today was embarrassing. Some coaching mistakes that were syh stuff. You got Porter locking up Brown and their TE is killing it. Bring Minkah down and go single high. We just waited to long to adjust to that. Did we really call a run play with 22 as our first play down 3 td's with 11 minutes left?
    Hey they own it.

Missing several, including the loss in 2015 to the 4-10 Ravens and Matt Cassell that knocked them out of the playoffs before they were gifted a berth the next week.

    2014 -- Loss to the 1-8 Jets.

Same script as the 2014 loss, came out flat and unprepared. These losses cost them playoff seeding and in some cases, playoff berths.

We're not talking about losses to 5-6 teams, either, we're talking about the worst of the worst.

    It's a thing.

The CLE playoff game is far and away the most embarrassing game to me.

That might be mine too because the Browns didn't even have their HC at the game and they were missing like 3 starters on the OL.

But this thread is reminding me there are a lot of embarrassing losses oooof.

Losing to the 1-11 Browns in 2009 was also quite the achievement.

Denver, Cleveland, and Jacksonville playoff games all come to mind immediately for me.
