Without reading the article I would guess that a lot of the recent success in the run game is due to the 2 big rookies from Georgia.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

agreed, Washington is a better blocker than Freiermuth and Jones is definitely an upgrade over Chuks.

It takes time. There isn't a magical player, formula, or scheme that wins.

Player execution generally wins games. Player mistakes generally loses games.

Time? Until Broderick Jones was inserted it was the exact same line that played all of last season together other than Seumalo for Dotson at left guard.

I agree with the comment by Man of Steel, Broderick Jones is athletically gifted & Darnell Washington is a mammoth of a man who blocks out the sun when he's near you. And Seumalo is an upgrade over Dotson. Those 3 playing all together for the first time the past 2 games is the difference.

There is more to it than Broderick Jones starting. Jones is at right tackle. The running backs are seeing gaping holes in the middle of the line and on the left side. They are not exclusively running behind Jones. That is way overly simplistic. Maybe the defenses are starting to wear out and or the line as a whole is gaining chemistry.

If you understood anything about football you would know that they recently changed their blocking scheme and the difference has been night and day.

Power gap vs. zone blocking. Someone on the Steelers' coaching staff is in love with the stretch zone and they've wasted the first half of the last two seasons trying to run it before scrapping it for what they're actually good at.

The incompetent coaching staff is by far the biggest problem with the offense in Pittsburgh.

Running game improved pretty fast once they changed the OL scheme and inserted Jones at tackle.

I agree. Coaches can ask a player to do something they are not good at so the failure to execute will be high. Example, asking a slow footed Mark Robinson to cover a speedy receiver like Zay Flowers.
