Pickett's #1 fan walking in with hat in hand..

asking for a little more patience.. and apologizing for this performance. Dude has been AWFUL to start the year. I DID NOT expect this. I know he's faced 2 good defenses but he is showing some serious 2nd year slumping out the gate.

    BUT!!!!

I'm still not off the bandwagon yet. When given time and a chance to step into throws he is showing the ability to hit on some longer passes.
Moving forward I think Pickett needs to give Pickens 12 targets minimum per game.

and while I put more blame on Pickett than Canada on these bad throws I'm now in the fire Canada group. That dude knows how to kill momentum. All these long developing run plays and sweeps behind the LOS are comical and predictable.

    but back to Pickett.

He needs to get his sh#t together ASAP or he will be a journeyman in 2 years. The only positive besides that great pass to Pickens while getting rocked is seeing a lot of high priced QB's playing just as bad as he is early on. Hoping this is early season rust and next week we get things rolling vs a bad Raiders team to get him some confidence.

I will defend Pickett - considering the lack of great OLINE play he made some solid throws last night.

As ugly as that pass on the slant to Pickens I believe he thought GP was going to keep going upfield but slowed his route.

The call by Canada on critical 3rd & 1 trying to run out the clock for Kenny to go off right tackle was a joke....And i thought he should have left Warren in for 2 pt attempt since his second third fourrth effort on a 3rd down dumpoff is the main reason we scored six on the drive.

I guess my question is how is a change in OC going to impact KP's accuracy and decision making? You are either accurate (or working to be accurate) or you're not. And decision making, some rip on MT for his decision making and yet KP has thrown some gawd awful passes in the last two games.

I saw Pickett throwing dirt balls or throwing behind receivers quite often. That can't be blamed on Canada.

Spot on, I agree. I’ll stay with KP8.

It can when you have a dumb as dog**** OC that don’t know how to slow the defensive rush or get 8 men out the box

I'm a confused KP fan as well. WTH is going on with Kenny. Looks like someone's been spiking his Gatorade.

    Another AS masterpiece.

    THIS.
Plus, as I've stated a number of times, some of those misses were miss-COMMUNICATIONS between WR and QB.

I'll be honest, I wasn't like dizz - I didn't know squat about Pickett. He told me I should have seen him annually in college - he never did anything to stand out to me (like Ben did in on single meeting against Louisville).

Having said all that, dude has some skills that can be built upon.
When he steps into and fires a throw, it goes where he intended (even if the WR isn't there).
When he's rolling, it's on target.
When he's dancing in the pocket, he misses. <= this is where he needs more check-down options to save him from his own flaws.

The right OC can win a lot of games with this kid.
