yep. Tune into sone news since we drafted him. Heck even before that as TJ was working with him at Wisconsin before the draft.

oh yeah. He’s the guy you didn’t want the Steelers to sign.

Doesnt matter. He shows he can play. Lit up the 3rd string, shows he belongs up higher than that. Those who cannot compete at that level will be cut anyway.

The other I was referring to was Alexander. He started.

Got to see first 3 qts again today. Here are some items that jumped out at me:

Benton - So he anchors the los well on run plays. Had back to back plays in 2nd qtr where he had real good hand use was able to shed n penetrate. 3rd qtr blew up a run play by keeping his pad level low. Hand use is violent. Greene always said play with heavy hands. He's not Greene but hand use is Greene like.
Riley- I indicated he was active but as the gunner on punt coverage he was first man down and made the unassisted tackle. Plays like that make coaches take notice.
Leal had a solid showing was around the pile all night and stayed on his feet something that can't be stressed enough for dl's.
McCollum - yeah a leverage issue. Just plays to tall. That has to change or he won't be around.
Cook T Dunkle G both in the game late and they played side by side on the right side but they more than held their own. Of course who knows if they were going against 4th team players but either way they both looked like they have some upside.

So I know a few guys wanted to know about Alexander. Didn't he play well?
He did. He is a down hill vet that diagnoses the play quick n does not take false steps. He has speed. What we didn't see is can he get through the trash, stack n shed a rb . Why? He was kept clean by the good play up front. So he will be tough to run wide against. And he'll be good IF we keep him clean inside. That is where having Heyward n Benton type guys ifo him will give him a chance to make a bunch of plays. Watts is also a DT who showed pass rush ability but is also stout against the run. I still need to see more from him.
I didn't see enough from Butler but if he can't beat out Gunner what is he? Want to see more from him.

that last play is a quality pass rushing move.
