PFF NFL Podcast AFC North Preview

Good stuff. They like all four teams, but once again, their biggest question mark with the Steelers is the offensive scheme, which they accurately point out doesn't make anything easy, no freebies. Been saying that for a while, long before they did, feel validated.

Will PFF give Trubisky 'credit' for the pick on the deep pass to White? Just curious.

Doubtful, it was out there for White, who got a hand on it and tipped it back. Looked like PI, too -- left arm held?

Passer rating will ruthlessly punish Mitch, though.

Mitch has a LOT more to worry about than one questionable pass in a preseason game. The guy just stinks, overall, especially for an early 1st round pick, regardless if he takes blame for one questionable int in the preseason where the WR caused it. Plenty of regular season f--- ups to really consider.

Austin's speed will help the QB quite a bit this year if he stays healthy.

That kind of speed has been missing from a Steelers' offense since Mike Wallace.

Martavis Bryant had it but he was hardly ever on the field. What a shame.

It really is sad how he smoked his way out of the league.

i'd try to find a way to hire this guy in a heartbeat. probably never had enough physical tools to become a good QB in the league. but his break downs are great. just watched his jordan love breakdown from this week

QB coach. help with offensive design something.on the offensive side of the ball

something tells me he's not on mikey's short list of candidates

JT is one of the best at breaking down QB play, and also gets into details with some of the route schemes teams run.

They do say the same things you do. No deep middle etc.
But this offseason that is CLEARLY the focus.

Their point has validity ONLY IF the intent is to continue to avoid doing WHAT WE ARE DOING ALL OFF SEASON.

It seems clear Tomlin DID handcuff Canada, which handcuffs Kenny. We WON because of that.

But it is clear that THIS WAS TO PROTECT A YOUNG QB.

If Tomlin is why Canada was limiting Kenny it is the best of news.

When I thought this was all Canada had, I was hopeless.

If he was held back, Canada might well SHOCK US ALL.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                            TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

That's unprovable actually -- how do you know Kenny wouldn't have continued growing and taking advantage of a weaker schedule and Watt's return to win without the straightjacket?

Maybe they win games by 10 or 17 instead of 3.
