GMF: Steelers could be this year's Eagles

Eagles went 9-8 in 2021 with a young QB, added pieces, QB took next step and they vaulted to the top of their conference. This Good Morning Football panelist sees parallels with the Steelers in 2022-23.

Eagles did it in a tough division, too, where no team finished below .500.

So SI says the Steelers are bottom dwellers and GMF says they are contenders? I guess that covers everything.

Hurts clearly improved on his mechanics and had a great year.

Improved qb play might do the same for the Steelers.

of course there’s the coaching and game planning.
need a lot of improvement there

No where near last year's Eagles, not even close.

Let's count the ways we are equal to Philly of last year:

    OL: huge edge Philly
    QB: huge edge Philly
    WRs: huge philly
    RBs: Philly
    TEs: Philly
    DL: big edge Philly
    DBs: Philly
    LBs: push, maybe

Yea, but we are right with the Eagles of last year. Sure.

yeah then you shouldn't even expect the Steelers to be a good team this year. You should probably find a good book or two to read during the NFL season. Problem solved for you.

I'll decide how I use my own time there, Trotskyite. If I want to watch my slightly-above-average NFL team, that's what I'l do. I don't need your approval to do jack shlt, bolshie.

Of course you can decide. The Steelers are not your team "whiskers". Most fans around here know this. You compete for the "negative" village idiot title.

I only offered a logical solution based on your "flawed perspective".
