    Ben wanted Kenny to fail

Hard truth - Ben was more about Ben than the team his entire career. He helped us win a ton of games, obviously, but I think he'd rather have a great game in a loss than a bad game in a win.

Besides water being wet, this is Ben being a human.

He is a competitor...I think human beings are rather complex creatures.

I am sure every poster has had thoughts similar to those in some way, shape or form.

Somebody gets a promo over you and you may say to yourself, " I am the better candidate, I hope he lays an egg."

Doesn't make you wrong, it makes you human.

    Just like Ben.

Agree. Probably lots of players in the same kind of situation would have had the same kind of feelings. Ben is just being honest, and admitting it. Plus, he felt bad for feeling that way, and apologized to KP about it. What more can anyone expect?

    Much ado about nothing.

I luv that it bothered him, felt bad, apologized, and seems over it. Brutal honesty.

    I think it was beautiful.

Contrary to the opening take, my respect actually went up for Ben for exposing what he KNOWS could be seen as a bad look.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Have you watched the Steelers since 2004? I watched the recent episode with Pickett and I see nothing but support from Ben.

For you to make this comment, I'd have to say you haven't been watching the same Big Ben that I have. You got what we used to say a ha*d on for him. You just don't like him. That's cool but don't go spreading this Dreck all the time.

I never though that about him. He was a legendary competitor and barely trails Manning and Brady for the most 4th quarter comebacks of all time. He was all about the W's.

As far as the podcast, I agree with the rest of the posters in this thread that it reflects well on his honesty.

I think if you ask sone of the DLL time great QBs and they were honest. They probably feel similar.

    favre > Rodgers.
    now Rodgers > love
    peyton > luck

    Big Ben:
My pet peeve of the momentum; apologizing for every feeling and hurt one thinks they have caused another. No need to apologize in competitive sports. Someone is always looking to take your job. As Brady told the drafted QBs this year; "I just outlasted everyone".
