there isn’t much difference from the contract he was being offered to the contract he signed after hurts extension went through.

he finally woke up and listened to what people were saying from day 1.
he was not getting a fully guaranteed deal.
In Lamar's and Felt's defense, I think the "day one" offer was $131M guaranteed for 3 years. He "settled" for $185M guaranteed in a 5 year deal. Seems like he got the Rats to move fairly significantly unless there were some fine details that make both deals more similar.

Why not start at the top and work your way down vs the opposite? We see what he got and its a ton of money and more guaranteed money than anyone else since Watson signed.

No one lost in this deal… well, not yet.
did I say he didn’t get a good contract?
I pointed out the author spin on it saying it was a win. And how clever he was going about getting that contract.

a win would be what he initially wanted.
the contract he signed was available from day 1 of these negations.
Actually, before that since they negotiated though out the season. When he pouted and decided to sit out and not even attend the playoff game because negations weren’t going well
he needed another contract to be signed to emulate the deal he got because thinking he would get a Watson type contract was dead wrong

somehow you and this author think that’s a win.

    im shocked. Lol

that was just 1 of the rumored deals.
another was similiar ( a bit more) to Wilson’s contract.

once another contract was signed more along the lines of Wilsons. He knew he had to drop his demands for a watson type deal.
as what everybody with an opinion said he needed to do.
It finally got through to his thick head. Lol

I think getting a good contract is a win.

You seem to believe making concessions in negotiations is a loss. I think he squeezed a few more dollars by being patient.

look at the trend since his contract was done.
    more and more guaranteed money.
lamaar got 1% more then the contract signed the week before by hurts.
both those deals fall in line of what was being signed at the time.
Translation LJ won. 185 mill is more money than probably all of us combined on this forum will see in our lifetimes an possibly our family will see in their lifetimes and possibly...........

Get my point? I thought that LJ should had taken the 1st reported guaranteed contract. He stuck to his guns. LJ won is my final answer.

185 million. Think about that type of money. Only the idiots will haggle about how LJ failed. 185 mill is a win for anyone. I thought my 9% raise was a win. I could get more $ if I put myself out their as a FA.

If the actual contract that he refused before is true, then the one he just signed is of a tad higher value, but less guaranteed money. How much of this signed contract is guaranteed at signing is yet to be revealed.

that’s fine. He could have waited even longer to see what burrow and or Herbert got but whatever.

the difference is minimal considering the amount the contract was.
again, the rumor being floated before this was 6 year 300M which he turned down.

this author is trying to spin this like this was sone genius maneuver by lamaar.

    lol
    he won what exactly?

tge money offered before was comparable to what he actually signed.
when he was offered 6 yr 300 M we all commented how he was foolish not to sign that.

the contract he signed is not much different then that offer.

you know what is different though ??
the money guaranteed in the contract he signed vs the contract he was after… fully guaranteed Like watsons.

Somehow you, dizz and the author thinks that a win. Why am I not surprised. Lol

NJ this shows the level of your incompetency, small mind, want to be right, or something else? You decide.

185 million guaranteed is a win. Spin it however you want.

    Ask the forum.

LJ has 185 mill in the bank no matter what happens. 71% of his contract is set in stone. Win or loss for LJ?
