dude. He wanted a fully guaranteed contact. How many times did we hear what his contract demands were. How many offers without the fully guaranteed money did he turn down.

how his situation a win when
it was always there for him to sign.
there isn’t much difference from the contract he was being offered to the contract he signed after hurts extension went through.

he finally woke up and listened to what people were saying from day 1.
he was not getting a fully guaranteed deal.

In Lamar's and Felt's defense, I think the "day one" offer was $131M guaranteed for 3 years. He "settled" for $185M guaranteed in a 5 year deal. Seems like he got the Rats to move fairly significantly unless there were some fine details that make both deals more similar.

again, its called contract negotiations for a reason.

Why not start at the top and work your way down vs the opposite? We see what he got and its a ton of money and more guaranteed money than anyone else since Watson signed.

Mahomes contract was 4 years ago.
look at the trend since his contract was done.
more and more guaranteed money.
lamaar got 1% more then the contract signed the week before by hurts.
both those deals fall in line of what was being signed at the time.

If the actual contract that he refused before is true, then the one he just signed is of a tad higher value, but less guaranteed money. How much of this signed contract is guaranteed at signing is yet to be revealed.
