Bud coming in for a visit.

    Per the depot

peobably another 1 yr contact going around the league.

makes sense if it’s cheap. No need waste a draft pick on a back up position.

If we can get Bud signed as a backup for a reasonable price, I'll be a happy camper. Even if he has declined since he was last a Steeler, he can't be any worse than our most recent backups at OLB.

It's all going to be about the price. Most back up lb's play special teams not sure he would help us there but I would still say yes if $$$$ is low.

I’d bring him back in a heartbeat.

We have lost too many high character draft picks.

Bud, Javon, Juju, Conner, Hilton, Sutton, Edwards, and it doesn’t seem to end.

If we coulda kept these guys and didn’t have our issues losing guys like Shazier and Tuitt way too early, this team woulda competed for a couple more SBs imho.

Out of all these guys, I only got letting Bud go cause he got paid so much. But now that he’s cheap again, get him back. I really like the guy and think he’s one of the best character guys of the bunch.

I can’t see another team out there offering him that much.
he got paid by Tenn and didn’t perform well as got injured.
mid day that’s a red flag

if he has anything left. His best bet might be a 1 year prove it deal

"Character guys?" Not sure. How about "productive guys?" Because he hasn't been one of those the last few seasons. Played 11 games last 2 seasons each, 3.5 sacks. TN can't be happy with that contract, as some of us predicted.

I agree with all you wrote

Bud was never an issue and he would provide much needed depth.

Everyone knew they likely paid him too much. Guy never really was healthy in TEN.

So he produced what he did and now he’s probably a bargain compared to what he can produce.

I bet you can’t find an OLB that could give you his same production for the likely price tag he’ll get.

I like players that make a positive impact on others. You can’t have enough of these guys at the right price.

There has to be a general understanding between both parties regarding salary and role before they'd drop a dime on a plane ticket. Dupree would be smart to come back to the Burg and go somewhere where he knows the system (and excelled in it), can stay fresh, and rebuild his stock. Or just hang out for a while longer in the Black and Gold. It's obvious to me that Dupree has embraced the thought of rotating-in as the third banana and that comes with a certain salary slot.

This seems to be a done deal as long as he passes his physical and I'm very okay with that. In fact, I love it.

Although there is a chance that Dupree's injuries continue to dog him, being a rotational guy should preserve some tread on the tires and not overstress his body. In my opinion, there is a far greater chance Dupree's lack of production over the past two years is a product of those nagging injuries in addition to how he was deployed in a different system. There is a significant upside to this possible signing that easily eclipses any concerns I've got.

    This Bud's for us!!

Kahn: Can you play for cheap?
    Bud: How cheap?
    Kahn: Cheap.
