Who has Pitt put in the NFL besides Marino 40 years ago? Is the Marino success why you thought Kenny was a good pick?
Pitt hasn’t put anyone notable in the league since Marino. But they also haven’t been winning BCS Championships and making the playoffs with good QB play.

I didn’t say the Buckeyes had a bunch of 1st rounders bust. I said they had a lot of success in college with notable QB’s who failed in the NFL.

Analysts are probably overthinking this again, seeing the next Lamar or Josh Allen in every athletic QB with a big arm. This is how gamblers go broke after winning a big bet early on.

Smart money says OL, DL, and CB dominate the picks before 1.17, unfortunately.
With the money is QB are getting theses days on their second contact, I roll the dice on a QB in the draft, easily if you do not have a top 12 qb. Or you can be stupid and pay a guy like Watson or Murray a small mint to sign. IMO none of these qb's were the prospect that Herbret, Burrow or Lawrence were. They fit this label of franchise QB's.

I read a lot to hype on Young. But when I evaluate his game he is a tiny QB ( played at 185 pounds they say ) who had durability issues, measured poorly 5'10", and was sacked a lot behind Alabama line ( with very good OL players ) . Read flag waring! He did not prove his 40 yard dash, 10 yard dahs, ball MHP or 20 yard shuttle at the Combine or Pro day. What are you hiding ? BUT Bennett did that ( he showed good velocity and Quickness ) and threw at the combine displaying a good arm tied Levis with for ball velocity with Levis. Oh by the way he has better football number numbers. So why is one guy labeled a top 10 pick and the other guy thought of and a 3rd round pick or day three pick? You tell me!

I think Young is going to be drafted lower that the media is projecting and Bennett much higher than the media is projecting. My call as of 3-24-23.

My opinion on Stroud is he is better QB, with a better ams, but he didn't prove his 40 yard time, 10 yard time, ball MHP, or 20 yard shuttle either at the Combine or Pro day! Why? Might theses times and drill dip his stock? His play on tape matter but so do these things.

Levis Levis is one of the top signal-caller prospects in this year's draft and a strong candidate to land in the top 10 overall. He improved his draft stock with an excelllet performance.

He measured in at 6'4" and 229 pounds and registered a 34-inch vertical leap and a 10'4" broad jump. He has a 10⅝" hand size and a 32-inch arm length.

The physical talent is clearly there for Levis, who registered a 59 mph ball velocity. We know his number because he did not hide them. However he did not run either. He did not throw light outs in game either.

This are the qb talents teams will reach for. The wonderlic tests are not reported, but if one if these three tests high there they will be leaked.

The Steelers had a great draft in 2023. However better play calling / coaching is badly needed. Tomlin is 19-18-1 in last 38 games played and hasn't won a playoff game in six years and counting. Nor has hired anyone good to his coaching staff. Think about that. But Khan and Weidl appear to have better management on the salary cap and focused on the right free agents and draft needs.

Teams win championships, not QBs. Do you expect Stetson Bennett to get drafted before day 3?

Haskins was the first OSU bust at QB since Schlichter 41 years ago.

Troy Smith won the Heisman in 2006. Stop acting like he was along for the ride. Dude broke records at the time.

but I agree teams win championships.. keep that same energy when people are debating QB’s and bring up SB’s or SB appearances.

Herbert is 15-17 as a starter and 0-1 in the playoffs even though his defense forced 5 turnovers in on half of football.

If Kenny or Murray or anyone else you don’t like had that record and epic loss you would shred them to pieces.

Young is going 1 or 2. I doubt he drops much further than that and if he does trams will regret it. Alabama did NOT have a good OL last year compared to what they usually have. He was sacked 18 times. Maybe that is a lot for Alabama but its because Bama throws a whole lot more than they used to in the past. If you actually watched Young you would be honest and admit dude is similar to Patrick Mahomes keeping plays alive and finding open WR’s. He’s shifty. That whodini move vs Texas.. crazy.

Neither Stroud or Young are runners.. so its not important for them to run 40 times IMO.

The biggest question mark is timing. They won’t have all day to sit back and wait or run around to keep plays alive.

Levis ain’t it. Dude is all muscle, no touch and has game tapes are hard to digest.

Didn't say he was along for the ride but he was a 5th round pick for a reason - not a good NFL prospect. You can't compare guys like Fields and Stroud to him because they wore the same helmets.

yes I can.. do we compare Ben to Brady even though Ben was a first rounder from Miami of Ohio and Brady went to Michigan and was drafted in the 6th round?

There have been QB’s who went undrafted who had success in the NFL. I said nothing about being a first rounder. I said Buckeye QB’s have been chewed up and spit out of the NFL. Regardless of where they have been drafted, none of them have shown they can get it done in the NFL.

Herbert was drafted by the sucky Chagers and in his second season lead his team to the playoffs, but you neglect to say such truth. If you can not see he has shown more than Pickett, I nor anyone else can help you.

Young unlike Mahomes gets hurt and is 5'10 185 pounds. He can't play that way in the NFL. Yes, he was sacked 18 times benind Alabama OL line and this is party due to his style if play. Bennett was sacked just 9 times and 9 times the year before. Compare and contrast their sackabitty, their stats and include the records. Wanna do it? I don't see why Young is so special.

I agree with you that Young won't be running for may yards in the NFL. He is a medium passing talent in my book. That it. Completing 64.5% of his passes in 2022. Running around like he did in college was exciting , but It will not be as easily done in the NFL and all get hurt more easily.

As I indicated he did not run a 40 yard dash, a 10 yard spit, prove he had an arm by zipping passes on an MPH gun, or run a short shuttle. He is hiding something! His Alabama listed height of 6 feet is bogus. Dude is 5'10". I did not see a wonderlic at all either.

So you didn't feel the same way about Pickett because one Pitt QB made it 40 years ago? Pitt is a QB factory?

And if helmet scouting is accurate, why have there been three first round OSU QBs recently? They can't play in the NFL.

Pitt is not a QB factory. If Pitt had really good QB’s that made BCS playoffs but failed at the next level I would certainly be more cautious of drafting Kenny.

The fact that Kenny is nothing like ANY QB I have watched at Pitt since Marino is why I’m high on him.

What I will say about Pitt is when a player is a beast he usually lives up to it at the pro level. I don’t mean plays good ball, its usually HOF level play.

Curtis Martin, Revis, Darnold, Fitzgerald, Shady.
