NFL execs and coaches smokescreened a lot of analysts and fans last year, some who had several going in the first, including Willis #1 overall and Pickett 6th to Carolina. Fool me once...
Analysts are probably overthinking this again, seeing the next Lamar or Josh Allen in every athletic QB with a big arm. This is how gamblers go broke after winning a big bet early on.
Smart money says OL, DL, and CB dominate the picks before 1.17, unfortunately.
I hope all four go before our 1.17 pick. That leaves more big uglies for us.

Three will go for certain: Stroud, Young and Levis. The wildcard is Richardson because he is a project. Everyone knew last year's QB class was the weakest in a decade so no surprise those guys dropped.
I'm still not betting the farm on an OT for us at #17...if they are there. Just this past week, you have heard from Ben and others associated with the team or with inside access that the team is not as down on Chuks and Moore and fans are. Both are athletic and experienced. I've always said that Moore's issue was the weak link he had next him...Dotson..

Not sure if Richardson is top 10 but I think the other 3 will be selected. I think FO’s bought into the hype of this years draft vs last year so we saw teams use patience or totally ignore the QB position.
This year I expect teams to play overdraft QB’s because the NFL and draft experts love QB’s from big schools.
Hopefully someone drops that we have on our board and we get great value at 17.
That being said, would not be surprised if Levis drops out of the top 10 as well because I don’t think he is legit but the way teams love QB’s with size and an arm I see him being overdrafted.

Going to laugh my ass off if Stroud and Young end up being average QB’s but since they went to Ohio State and Bama they get lifted into can’t miss territory. I do like Young though. Stroud is hard to evaluate simply because we have seen so many Buckeye QB’s look unstoppable and then the NFL chews ‘em up and spits them out.

Like who besides Haskins? Nobody else was drafted in the first or second round except Fields, and he's far from being chewed up and spit out.

Haskins
all these QB’s had great college careers. Some won national championships.
Not writing Fields off but thought he would be further along as a passer because the word is Day was drafted NFL ready QB’s.
Until it actually happens I’m not going to give them credit. I can see Stroud breaking the curse but if he doesn’t, I will not be surprised at all.

BESIDES Haskins. Those other guys were 3rd, 4th, and 5th round picks, nobody expected them to tear up the league. CJ Stroud has nothing to do with the fact that those guys were middling to bad NFL prospects.
Who has Pitt put in the NFL besides Marino 40 years ago? Is the Marino success why you thought Kenny was a good pick?
