    Sounds like he's gonzo.

If he is gone, we will after the fact come to regret it

Guy was a solid player who was always available. There is no one left in free agency that can match his play

If he isn't back, we could be positioning ourselves for Brian Branch

thing of it is, we keep saying how he's available, but that's so 2021... he missed game(s?) in 2022... i remember seeing him in street clothes running on the field to celebrate in the end zone (i think it caused a penalty)

He only started 15 games in 2022, so it appears you are correct.

Dang it, now we have a hole at safety

should've seen the writing on the wall when we didn't sign his brother Tremaine

Is Kevin Byard still on the market? Would he be a fit to replace Terrell (I know he's more of a FS, but seems like a complete player who is a good tackler)? Or will he be too expensive?

They probably kicked the tires on Byard I would think. I think they are trying to save $ on a SS signing.

teams are dictating the contracts on a lot of these free agents.
a record number of 1 yr deals have been signed.
the teams make their offer on what they think the player is worth.
if the players isn’t agreeing to those terms. They move on.

i can see why they did that with edmunds. He’s likely not worth what he’s asking for

How dare you disagree with the Steelers front office. Don’t you know that every move they make is correct.?
                        You are a Debbie downer.
You should root for another team.
I think the Steelers know a little more than you do about this.
                        Trust the process.
The steeler way is the best way.
Do you know how many other teams wish they could not resign him?
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Market for S who are not elite has been pretty cold for a few years.

I like Edmunds and have hoped that we bring him back, but this looks not so good for that.

I can see why he'd want to go somewhere else. Even if it's not more money, maybe he can get some term?

Seems like we should be able to sign him to a 2 or 3 year deal for cheap.

I wonder if we did a 2 dogs, 1 contract kind of thing with him an Kazee?

I think SS will now be a need. My understanding is that Kazee is more of a subpackage guy than a straight up starter.

Edmunds - 75 starts, five interceptions, no forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

Kazee has 19 interceptions and seven forced fumbles in 53 career starts.

Dependable but lack of turnovers and splash plays is why they didn't pick up his 5th year option and why they are letting him walk.
