I think there are 2 questions:
    1) How many games per year to you expect him to miss with his style of play?
    2) How quickly will his style of play decline as he ages?

They are similar questions that we had to ask about Ben (for different reasons).
Once he gets a new contract? I actually don’t expect him to miss much time.

Probably the same as other QB’s.

I truly believe Lamar is unwilling to risk it all without the insurance of a long term deal. I think he plays through these injuries if he was locked up.

Of course we can debate his worth but given his stats and percentage of the offense I think he deserves a ridiculous contract. I understand why the Rats don’t want to go all in like Cleveland but Herbert and Burrow are going to get close to 200 mill guaranteed. Pretty sure of it.

Good to see normal people admit when they were wrong on something. Its really not that hard and life is much easier when you are honest instead of dip diving and twisting logic to hold onto a point long after its over.
The thing that always got me with him was he'd sometimes miss the quick read. I questioned his football IQ. I believed that his ability to elude the rush often lead to busted plays and he ate defenses up on those. I never questioned his arm strength, tho. He had a cannon that could zip it downfield on a rope if the DB was beaten. I just thought he'd get himself beat up and not have a long career because of it.

Fact of the matter is, all of this is still true about Lamar, IMO

Now, go back and read all that above. We just had a HOF QB retire where every single statement is applicable.

I'm not going to pretend they are the same guy, I won't. But, I will say that all of my *concerns* were being proved inaccurate right before my eyes while I was hating on Lamar's chances.

Because his narrative is that Lamar is holding back a "stocked team" and that he is a QB who cant pass or read defenses. If thay were true then in theory they should improve without him at the position. If teams are better with starting caliber QB's then the evidence shows that he is a starting caliber of QB and it also shows he has been above the average of starting caliber QB's.

Side note: the DL and LB coming out of Louisville this year are all major sleepers. If the steelers land one of those edge rushers in the mid-to-late rounds, don't be disappointed.

He is starting QB material for sure, no doubt. I'm just saying the Ravens couldn't be expected to be the same offense with Huntley, who is a limited backup. Lamar had an MVP season in 2019, a solid one in 2020, and he's been average at best the last 2 seasons. I pay a QB for for his current play, and if I think he can keep that up consistently or get better. I'm trying to figure out what Lamar thinks his value is and where it should be going forward.
