You know that's what I said in the post, right? That he'd play outside when we had 3 or 4 CBs but door in base?

He probably did some of that. He played 36% of snaps in 21 (up from 3% on 20). My guess is that nickle + dime was 60 or more percent of snaps. So I don't think he was consistently in both.

Depo had Nickle (about 47%) plus dime (about 17%) at just under 65%.

Maybe he was the dime back with some time in nickle die to injury? Or maybe he started as nickle back and got demoted, or started at dime and got promoted?

He dressed all 17, started 4. So doesn't appear to have had a serious injury

Good data for 2021. If I reading your post right Pierre started 4 games? Which ones? Also who often was Pierre deployed in the nickel and dime? What about the games that we opened up in the nickel and dime? I consider the players on the 1st defense snap to be starters in the game.

Pierre started 4 games in 2021. 3 when Haden was out one when Sutton was out. Raiders, Broncos, Chargers, and Bengals were the opponents.

When everyone was healthy, Haden and Sutton started on the outside.

In nickel and dime, Pierre was a regular and came in and joined Haden outside and Sutton moved inside. Generally, those three were in those formations with more db help in dime

Remember this data is 2021, not 2020 which is when you said you saw him starting games.
