James Pierre coming back

Pierre started 4 games in 2021. 3 when Haden was out one when Sutton was out. Raiders, Broncos, Chargers, and Bengals were the opponents.

When everyone was healthy, Haden and Sutton started on the outside.

In nickel and dime, Pierre was a regular and came in and joined Haden outside and Sutton moved inside. Generally, those three were in those formations with more db help in dime

Of Pierre’s starts the game that Sutton missed was the only game we started in the nickel to begin (Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers - October 10th, 2021)
Haden, Pierre, and Maulett started that game.

I think the data suggests he wasn't all that regular in N and D because the snap counts don't add up.

Particularly since he has 4 starts, which should increase his snap count.

I'm the present, he looked OK in limited opportunities recently.

But I think we'd like to keep him as depth and sound be concerned is he has to start games.

You are right (that means I was wrong about this. Not that hard to do Joel. )

Season DID start with EXACTLY the rotation I described. I forgot later in the season Witherspoon basically took over Pierre’s spot in the top 3.
Can’t believe I forgot that as I was super high on Spoon.

Spoon looked like he “might” wind up a legit corner 1 before disappointing in 2022.

It's funny because I didn't remember that it was 'Spoon either. I didn't do the math on the seasons and though that Spoon came the next season.

I just thought that there was no way that the snap count for Nickle + Dime was that low.
