    not to mention a starter.

I have nothing against the guy. He occasionally makes a play and has been solid depth, although I am not sure I would trust him to start just yet. They know who he is and he was cheap, so it was a good signing.

But I don't think it is a one to one comparison to Bush. Bush was a former No. 1 and Pierre was signed as a FA. If Bush would have accepted a cheap one year deal to serve as IL depth, I think that would have been a good move also. He would probably be higher quality depth than Pierre. Maybe a higher quality starter than Pierre also, but neither would be a good quality starter.

I never wrote that he is the sure starter at CB. Please show me where I said that, and stop with the clown like threads indictating that I did. Pierre is a good sub package player in short man or zone, but should not be left 1 on 1 covering a speedy WR, especially deep coverage. He is easily burned in this type of coverege.
The Steelers had a great draft in 2023. However better play calling / coaching is badly needed. Tomlin is 19-18-1 in last 38 games played and hasn't won a playoff game in six years and counting. Nor has hired anyone good to his coaching staff. Think about that. But Khan and Weidl appear to have better management on the salary cap and focused on the right free agents and draft needs.

    Yep.

Good depth. Maybe can start in a pinch.

Yep. And probably a good value. Likely no real cap hit after displacement (i.e. likely making the minimum).

And you never know. Some guys are late bloomers.

no, what you did say was that you saw James Pierre starting a game during a year where he never was a starter for one single game.

when called out on it to tell us which game and against which team it was, you have gone silent instead of just admitting you were wrong.

people might respect you more if you would just admit when you were mistaken, instead of doubling down and embarrassing yourself further.

Clap your hands and jump for joy, I got a clean bill of health from doctor McCoy!

A back up signed for back up $. Not all that significant, but generally good news.

pretty sure you said we should expect Pierre to be the starter on the outside because he started a game on the outside.. plus you said Sutton was short and slow.

you lost credibility when you refused to admit your mistake.

Like wanting to give bell 15+ per for 4-5 years.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 13 years?

I was close.. Steelers offered him 5/70Mill. He turned it down like a dummy. I know he wanted the guaranteed money and I didn’t blame him but the year off hurt.

Now, I did debate his talents to no end while he was holding out. Once he came back and never reached his earlier potential I conceded that he was toast.

Its not hard at all to admit when I’m wrong when the proof is there.

But we do have others who refuse to admit the obvious even when its right in front of them.

also, our running game went in the crapper without him over the next 4 to 5 years
