He’s 32. Regardless of his stats most teams are trying to invest in younger players. He went with the money AND the opportunity to start.

its not like Sutton went to a team with a history of winning. Everyone is going for the money.

He'll start due to the level of other CB's on the roster. Pretty sad state when the rest of the room is led by James Pierre. They need to hit on a CB in the draft in a bad way since depending on pressure up front to cover the Achilles heel on the back end hasn't always worked out.

I just think they need a CB that makes QBs think twice. Those guys up front can't always get pressure, and there's a reason why this D gets scalped when playing the best QBs in the game.

The Pro Bowler mentioned in an ESPN podcast teaming up with play-making Trevon Diggs at one corner. … while mentioning Dallas, Cincinnati and Philadelphia as the three places that make sense for him.

Asked if there are any teams he'd like to play for, Peterson named the Bengals, Cowboys and Eagles. "I really like what the Bengals have. They have a quarterback, they have a great establishment on the offensive side of the ball. I know Eli Apple is going to be an impending free agent coming up. I feel like I can come in there and help those guys," said Peterson. "You're going to need some quality cover guys that can kind of keep those guys in check."

Lol, he says part of the reason he picked the Steelers is because of Tomlin's skill at word-smithing. Maybe this is what makes him a HOF coach.

When you see his coaching style, how much his players talk about him, his sayings, you know, you just want to be part of something like that

Maybe when Juju talked about how much he learned from Reid on offense in such a short time in comparison to years in Pittsburgh, the reporter should have followed up with, "Yeah, but who has cooler cliches?"

I'm sure that he's not upset about playing for Tomlin.

And it may have been a small factor once his prime locations didn't want him.

But I always assume that money is #1 on the priority list for players. And whatever is #2 is very far down the list.

He said himself the offer his agent presented came from left field. He came here because nobody offered him that much at 33, including Cincinnati and the other teams he named publicly. It's as simple as that. Steelers were not on his radar, and as the FA period has shown, the belief from some of the forum members that players are lining up to play for Tomlin, even at a discount, is wishful and misguided thinking.

I think this is true. Particularly when we're probably seen as a mid-tier team.

Players rarely play for a discount. Some may prefer one structure to another, but there aren't many Tom Bradys consistently playing for less than they could earn on the market.

I think the nickel secondary is the key to success, with PP getting help from a safety. A sneaky draft pick like Branch at #32 would be ideal. He has versatility as a safety or nickel CB in the slot. Some sites are comparing him to Fitz. Imagine two of them trolling the secondary .
