A. Easy - Ben. Watched his entire jr season at Miami, was not sad at all when Ravens beat Steelers in finale. A win would have cost us 5 draft spots. I was ecstatic when we drafted him.

B. Mendenhall. Saw a lot of his career at Illinois, thought he was another Thurman Thomas. Might have been in the right offense, but that wasn't in Pittsburgh.

C. Edmunds. I really wanted Lamar Jackson, but Terrell turned out to be a good starting strong safety.

D. Artie Burns. Some friends and I were at the draft festivities in Chicago, I was stunned. Sounded like a stand-up comedian. Turns out it wasn't very funny.

B. None, really. Maybe you can say Adams. He was worse that I thought, I did not want him but we needed a tackle the and I hoped that would work out.

C. I guess you can say I didn't want Edmunds in round one at all that year ,but he is not a bust.

D. Oh boy J Jones. What were the Steelers doing? The man worked out like a free agent rookie. He was not Big, not fast, nor quick, nor strong.

B. none that I can think of.
C. hated is a strong word. I wasn’t big on Watt being drafted due to pedigree.

D. Burns. I said “who???” when he was drafted. I really didn’t know much about him. Seemed like a project. Actually played well first year once he was getting reps. Then he lost his confidence.

A. Heath Miller. I always want us to draft a stud TE early and think it can be the one position that can potentially have the biggest impact on the O both running and passing game.

B. Troy Edwards - I remember thinking this guy was electrifying in college and could be one of the greatest ever.

C. Plaxico. I remember thinking we just used a 1st round pick on a WR and here we go again. But he was a decent WR even though he eventually shot himself.

D. Tim Worley - remember not be excited about him and he kinda lived up to that expectation

C. Ryan Shazier (Man, he was a beast, a great one!!! We missed him badly).

D. Artie Burns... That's very easy... But also Mendenhall.

The good... he looked great in the senior bowl recording 4 sacks in that game. Dominated that day. 6 4 255 looked alot like a Bud Dupree frame wise turned the arc great. No issues with him being picked round 1.
I'm hanging out at camp that summer n Frank Pollard was a rb with us who was in the parking lot after practice signing some stuff n talking to fans. Was hoping to talk with him. Here comes Simms in shorts n a tee shirt. He now looked like Casey Hampton. He had to be 290 n looked so out of shape. Rest of the story you all know.
