That was kind of like passing on Jalen Hurts to draft Chase Claypool but on a larger scale.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

    EDIT: Found guards.
    EDIT: Added kickers!

OT - Jamain Stephens, Tom Ricketts
OG - John Rienstra, Rick Donnally
    C - Kendrick Green
WR - Limas Sweed, Troy Edwards, Wayne Capers
    TE- Chris Kolodziejski
RB - Tim Worley, Dri Archer
    QB - Mark Malone

DE - Jarvis Jones, Huey Richardson, Alonzo Jackson
DT - Gabe Rivera, Daryl Sims, Jeremy Staat
LB - Devin Bush, Sean Spence
CB - Artie Burns, Ricardo Colclough, Senquez Golson
S - Anthony Smith, Scott Shields

    K - Kris(miss) Brown
    P - John Goodson

    Bruce Davis.

Gabe Rivera wasn't a bust. The rookie was making plays then was permanently inured
The Steelers had a great draft in 2023. However better play calling / coaching is badly needed. Tomlin is 19-18-1 in last 38 games played and hasn't won a playoff game in six years and counting. Nor has hired anyone good to his coaching staff. Think about that. But Khan and Weidl appear to have better management on the salary cap and focused on the right free agents and draft needs.

Tom Ricketts was a neighbor of mine growing up. Was completely shocked anyone from my high school could make it to the NFL, let alone a first round pick.

If Rivera got busted for DUI and cut by the Steelers, people would call him a bust. Shame he didn't get pulled over before it was too late.

A bust list without the hugest bust of all-time in Pgh? Huey "Gad damn" Richardson? He was so bad, he was a 1st round pick that was CUT by his 2nd year. Do you know had bad you have to be to be a 1st round pick and be CUT by your 2nd year in Pgh? You have to be unbelievably bad. Jarvis Jones has to be included on this list too, and he wasn't even bad enough to be cut by his 2nd year (although he should have been).

Edit: I see you did include Huey, but had him listed in the wrong position; he was drafted as a OLB not DE.

Abercrombie maybe wasn't a great draft pick, but he wasn't a total bust either. He managed to hang on the team, and to remain the starting RB, for 7 years. He put up a career 4.0 ypc, He had some jets. You would have to be up Tim Worley as a bigger bust at RB. He only lasted 3 years in Pgh, mostly do to drugs. He had all the ability in the world, but like to party too much.

There was a guy I went to school with. He didn’t make the NFL but I was SHOCKED he got a full ride to Boston College.

He had all the measurables to be an OT but he was so soft.

Everyone in our school couldn’t believe it. Not sure if he even panned out at BC but he made it further than a lot of good players art our school.

    It’s true.. “Size matters”
