And I don't see how you can disagree with # 3...how was Colbert constructing the O-line the last 3 years? By what methods? He wasn't using high draft picks like when we got DeCastro or Pouncey.
$2.6 is chump change to release a QB. That is money we sacrificed forma chance to see if a QB had something to offer. I would definitely feel better about $2.6 on the books than paying $8 mill for a backup

I'm trading up into the top 3 to get a new QB that the Steelers don't have to protect from himself.

    Thanks, dizz!
or you could open up PFF and get your rocks off over Kenny’s PFF stats like you were doing a few weeks ago.

Its your life tho.. do what makes you feel good.

    That’s what I’m doing.

but what worse. Mitch gone Having paid him 2.6 for this upcoming year
or paying him 10.6 cap hit to watch from the sideline.

you can pay another back up qb 2 million and tgat would still save 6 million in money paid out from keeping Mitch on his current deal.

    ps. I said I agree with 1 -4.

Some of you guys are laughable..."go and get a bargain basement back-up or UDFAs." It's not like KP has shown himself to be the most durable guy and we saw what a strong 49ers team did on Sunday with no viable back up

Maybe we could get Josh Johnson on the cheap...then when KP is hurt and we have no viable back up QB, some of you can start to post "how Tomlin wasted KP's rookie contract because we couldn't win when he was hurt."
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

Then why did he OK all of those contracts with void years?

cut Mitch and bring him back or get Dobbs.

not really Josh Johnson’s fault. He was the 4th string QB. Shanahan’s scheme doesn’t protect QB’s

I'd be sniffing around Mike White; When he was healthy , he was more than decent. He'd be an upgrade over Mitch & MR. He might be a tad expensive but hey, at that position, it could be worth it.
From the 2011-2022 season,(A 12 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks. Currently, Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in 6 years.

Steeler fans still loving on Tomlin now, are the same as Dolphin fans in the 90's who were still loving on Shula for what he did in the 70's
