Got it. I thought we were talking about QB’s so I wasn’t sure what QB was available with that name.

Not sure why trading Dobbs away would mean we couldn’t retain him. Is there a rule in place? If we brought back guys who left so I don’t see any reason we couldn’t bring Dobbs back in.

I think one correct answer is:

    Josh Dobbs.

    Happened once already, right?

Traded to Jax, where he was for the 2019 season. Resigned with the Steelers in 2020?

Difference between this year and last is that when MT was signed, there was no starter in place.

Number 2 a cheap veteran with less pedigree and upside than Trubisky.

Number 3 a 7th rounder or UDFA, possibly the Steelers like someone enough that they give up a future draft pick to trade into the 5th or 6th.

Where is the "Keep Rudolph as a backup (He's good at his job, and has no trade value as a starter...) trade Mitch (he wants to start somewhere...) to move up in the draft... draft a competent QB who can be molded to fit in the Steeler's offense..." option?? I vote for THAT....

The Steelers traded him twice, and he isn't with the team now for a reason, right?? Hard 'No' on that...

Yay pronouns.... Steeler fans DO follow along... They just don't pay attention to "just football" fans....

Dobbs is the perfect candidate. Very intelligent, knows the system, and even Ben said he "coached" him on the sideline a few years back.

For the #3 position just sign an UDFA. KP8 is the man, I've said it before. Barring injury he is the starter, 17 games.
