This is where having a checked out owner really hurts. Tomlin and Canada should be coaching for their jobs from day 1 next year, another slow start that buries them in the North standings should lead to huge changes IN SEASON, instead, we all know nothing will happen because there is zero accountability with Tomlin at this point. He's at the top of the org chart.
and what if we don’t have a slow start and have a good season?
This is going to be Canada’s make or break year but like Ben said recently. When you finish 7-2 there are reasons to be optimistic.
I think Ben retiring, Colbert stepping down, Austin’s first year as the DC with a defense with the most INT’s in the league and an improved rushing attack to end the season all show signs of a team trying to win and set themselves up for the future.
Honestly, besides constantly whining about the bad start and blow out losses to 2 good teams its hard to see how the FO isn’t invested in winning.
Sure, hate Canada and give the cliche “they don’t want to win” insults but they finished 7-2, cleared the books and have an extra pick at 32 due to a sweet trade with CHI.
Looks like the exact opposite to me but I guess throwing tantrums over Canada makes fans feel good.
Find my post for me and help me prove I’m Black
Pickett identifies Tomlin as the true architect of the offense. How sad is it that he plans to score 14-20 points a game, max.
Now that Tomlin has 100% control of the organization, 9 wins is the ceiling.

The wins will come from all losing teams. When we play the better teams, scoring 17-20 points won't cut it. The days of beating the better teams in the NFL seem over, with the "coaching in his fears" Shades in charge. A "non-losing" season is the goal, and that's about it.
