    Except for Dan Fouts maybe.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

A big part of the reason Swann, Stallworth and Terry are HOFers is BECAUSE they made plays in the SB.

People on defense are teammates too.

If you are talking offense only it kinda makes Terry's advantage bigger.

Ben played with ONE at any one time. Hines will never get in.

Faneca early Ben, Brown if he doesn't get punished for crazy on the later teams.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    Yup.
I would suggest that possibly nobody in NFL history has as much of a legacy based on ONE GAME than Lynn Swann.

I would suggest he was the most famous receiver IN HISTORY (even non-football fans) until Jerry Rice based on just SB X.

If for example the playoff injury he suffered kept him out of that game he would never have become a household name, nevermind HOF.

I grew up with Lynn Swann walking around our neighborhood as a teen. First time we saw him we all said “it looks like him, but it can’t be him, that dude is like 5’ 9”

then a few years back, I went home and my cousin’s son had a pee wee football game and he says “my son used to get the rock all the time until lil’ Swann showed up. Now all they do is pass” and I’m yapping
loud as hell “man, bump that, I don’t care how good he is my cuz needs to get some touches!!!”

a moment later Lynn Swann walks past, and he is even shorter than I remember and I go “hold up.. isn’t that Swann” and my cousin does what older cousins do and says “what part of lil Swann did you not understand?”

me: oooohhhhhh , I thought it was a nickname, like the kid played like Swann, I didn’t realize you meant..”

    he just shook his head.

me: “well, its Swann’s son, shrugs shoulders. Can lil cuz hoop?”

I linked to that Super Bowl last week - it's a few pages back now, but still worth watching the whole game. Really a different era with style of play, rules etc. Definitely worth the 2 hours IMO....

Funny thing I had a similar deal with Swann. Saw him up close when he was in Hawaii as a pro bowl commentator. I am 5'10 and he was listed at 6.0" and I'm like THAT DUDE AINT TALLER THAN ME.
