Top 2
maybe edmunds if he signs a team friendly deal. No reason to give him top money.
the rest… who cares
they’re not difference makers and you can find similar talent in the open market for market prices
Larry O
Kazee
Edmunds
Was just looking at this list. I would say that:
Sutton priority 1.
Edmunds or Kazee priority 2. I would try Edmunds but if he prices himself out I would take the cheaper Kazee. Maybe both if price is right.
I'd like Gentry but would also be comfortable giving Heyward his snaps if he is too expensive
Ogunjobi but only if price is right. Good player but not irreplaceable, especially at $8M
Depth at the right price: Worm, Spillane, Boykin
Not sure what to think: Watt - finally got some positive use in offense after three years
Bid him farewell as he rides of into retirement - Alualu (sad that he got injured last year and is now a shadow of his former self but a very good Steeler for several years)
No interest: Bush (too much baggage with trade up in the first), Allen (send a message that STers can't jeopardize wins with stupidity), Snell, Mason
Whatever...maybe at the right price: Scott, Joseph, Reed, Davis, Miller
Bush is the only one who is indispensable.
He is like a most valuable jenga peice. If pulled everything else comes crashing down.![]()
In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:
TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher
Sutton, Larry O, Edmunds, Kazee, Boykin.
Sutton is Priority #1 ... he's consistent & he makes plays. He's also versatile to play the slot.
Edmunds (lifelong hater here) ...hate his inability to make tackles in the open field but he's very good in coverage and has been durable. More trustworthy than bringing in a rookie.
Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go...
Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go...
Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go...!!!
Sutton, Larry O, Spillane, Kazee, Watt, Boykin.
Maybe Edmunds and Gentry if price is right.
