Do we even have ONE probolwer this season?

If we do, I don't know who it is. Anyone on the OL? Not even close.

DL? Highly doubt it, Cam used to be but no longer is one of the best DLman out there.

    RBs? Not even close.

    QB? Stop kidding.

    WRs? Pullllleeeze.

    LBs? Not this year, no.

    DBs? Nope.

I remember when we would have 8 players on the probowl team. Wow, now we have not a one. That tells you about the lack of talent added to this team lately.

Minkah is the leading vote getter at safety, I think.

If he misses, my guess is that it will be because he opted to take the sure win instead of going for the likely DTD.

Individual awards mean little when we have a season like this. Just us enduring this year is all that's expected.

              This is true.

              And why I hate baseball.

So many teams are out so early, so it's only about individual accomplishments.

That and it's not really much of a team game IMO.

Fun to play...super-boring to watch. But maybe I just don't appreciate the intricacies of checking the runner at 1st again.

I thought someone on here downplayed pro bowl accolades, saying they didn’t mean the players were great or talented.
Once again, our very own fans have been singing the praises of our drafts every year.
                We have plenty of talent.
                Much more than last year.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

I haven’t looked. But I’d be surprised if TJ isn’t voted in by the fans even with missing ganes cause of injury

With the World Cup going on, I was just having a debate with a rando the other day saying the NFL is boring compared to soccer.

At some point, I just had to agree that the breaks in the action were annoying so I could only make the argument that soccer is the slow moving version of hockey which is way better.

But in that context, I think it comes down to the appreciation of skill. As I get older I’ve watched golf which is like watching grass grow with pace, but the skill is impressive and I get why folks appreciate the sport.

I think it comes down to action/entertainment vs skill. And if you played a sport, I believe the skill is easier to appreciate.

Is there a pro bowl anymore? The only rule is every team used to send one player..even if he is not selected.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Every time I try to watch soccer I’m reminded why I can’t get into it.

Its like watching a whole game of the Pens with Malkin in front of the net choosing to make the extra pass instead of putting it on net.

Just too many possessions close to the goal where players are fiddling with the ball.

100 minutes, 8 scoring chances, 4 shots on goal, maybe 1 goal scored.

                          What's not to like?

Soccer is popular worldwide because all you need is a ball and an open field, the poorest of the poor can play it.

Just because the yinzers praise all our draft picks each year gives zero credence to their quality. For instance, I recall the yinzers claiming Dotson was the best OG in the entire draft in 2020. I remember stating their was a reason he last until the 4th round. I recall them saying that Green was going to be a top center in the NFL; he was beyond a flop. Some even touted McFarland as the best RB in the draft that year. Yea, OK. But, oh, he was from MD, so...

LOL Exactly. I watched soccer for the first time in years to see the USA go down to the Netherlands. Semi-exciting because the USA was in it (though they weren't really "in" that game) but I have very little desire to watch other games.

It's nice that there weren't constant interruptions in the game for commercials. But there's just a lot of running around with too few chances for shots on goal.

It's funny how the NFL goes out of its way to favor scoring opportunities and constantly changes/updates the rules. Does any other sport change rules as often as the NFL?
