Schemed him open? it was mostly man coverage and he just made plays.

So why would Wallace (who was covering him) say it was scheme? Explain.

Because it's easier than saying he beat me on this play and Maulet on that play and Sutton on that play. The fact is the Steelers chose to cover him one-on-one and Burrow, Higgins, made the plays. Its not some incredible scheme, if you play Higgins one-on-one Burrow is going to throw him the ball.

They were problem moving him around to get more favorable mismatches, but it was always one-on-one.

because saying “I was abused all day” is hard to do?

I did see one play where Higgins caught the ball for a 15 yard gain and it looked like there were 4 guys “around” Higgins but no one actually in his back pocket.

IMO its better to just tackle the dude within 5 yards than to let him abuse you like that.

don't know about any "scheming" on Cincy's part
I do know it looked like none of our DBs could cover Higgins
and much of the game, our vaunted pass rush was not getting much pressure on Burrow

True. We need atleast one legit cornerback.
From the 2010-2022 season,(A 13 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks. Currently, Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in 6 years.

Steeler fans still loving on Tomlin now, are the same as Dolphin fans in the 90's who were still loving on Shula for what he did in the 70's

True. But isn't our head coach a secondary expert? That's what his resume said when he was hired. He created that vaunted Bucs/Vikings secondary's. I don't get it.
