Yup, and in one of those wins, he actually threw for over 200 yards! In the regular season, he has as many games (4) over 200 yards passing as he did under 150 yards. The rest were in between.

    gotta love the hypocrisy
you are probably the only person on earth who thinks the 2004 Steeler team had less talent surrounding the QB than the 2017 Ravens team.

    Congratulations!

Big Ben for sure, don't even have to think about it. He played lights out his rookie season, stacked cast or not.

How does Heck NO, not something special for sure. His upside and I'm being serious is a more mobile weaker armed Andy Dalton. He's a rookie and will get better but I suspect we wiki be looking for a new QB sooner or later with sooner being the 2023 draft / free agency and later being before his 1st contact is official up.
Better QB play is a huge need. Pickett's dump off game isn't getting many points or yards. Pickett is last in the NFL of plays over 20 yards. We need a new LT and LG. The run D needs at DT/NT and new ILB to stop the run. Better play calling / coaching is badly needed. Tomlin is 19-18-1 in last 38 games played and hasn't won a playoff game in six years and counting.

    This isn't a fair comparison.

Ben had among the best rookie years of all time.

In part because he played well and showed off that Ben magic.

But also because he had a #1D (by points) and a solid running game.

I suppose the thing about Ben that year was that he still showed so much greatness even though it was an offense under Cowher...which I'd imagine was pretty conservative. Just going from memory though, maybe that's not the case.

Kenny would probably look better if he was in the same situation as Ben. But it's very unlikely that he'd look as good as Ben did IMO. It's really, really hard to be that good that early (or probably ever).

My guess is that it won't really be fair to compare any other Steelers QB I see in my lifetime to Ben...except maybe in the last couple years.

I remember lots of people complaining on here about how terrible our defense was when we gave up 42 points to a 1st year starter in week 2.

Turns out, that guy was almost certainly a future hall of famer. And probably the best QB of his generation.
