NFL defenses. Why are they suddenly better?

    Why are they suddenly better?

It's not because the receivers are lacking! It's not because the rules favor the defense! It not because the offensive coaches are inferior.

So what is it? I have a wild theory that the players are getting help! COMMUNICATION in the form of AI which has broken down plays via sets and saying which players are like to get the ball, and where commutating it to the players via radio link and hand signals. That doesn't explain why the QB play has fallen down. A wild theory for sure. Maybe there is some truth in it. Its useless vs broken plays, yes. But not against design plays.

There were 7 games last Sunday where both offenses failed to score over 21 points.
Better QB play is a huge need. Pickett's dump off game isn't getting many points or yards. Pickett is last in the NFL of plays over 20 yards. We need a new LT and LG. The run D needs at DT/NT and new ILB to stop the run. Better play calling / coaching is badly needed. Tomlin is 19-18-1 in last 38 games played and hasn't won a playoff game in six years and counting.

I haven't really looked that in depth in terms of overall stats but it does seem that QB stats are way down in terms of passing yards like this past week it seemed like barely any QB's threw for over 300 yards and only a handful had over 200. Most weeks it seems like a lot of QBs are throwing for 100-150 yards. Part of that is also the rise of the RPO and athletic QBs but it doesn't account for all of this that's for sure. Surprised it isn't being talked about in the media.

Way down. It as if the NFL teams has copied the Patriots cheating ways on defense, and upped their communication with the defense with the aid of AI. Something is up. The NFL might have to eliminate the green dots from helmets from ALL players. That will fix the problem, I think.

Most likely has to do with decline in o-line play. When teams can pressure with 4 and drop guys into coverage, it becomes harder to move the ball consistently.

And the CB / DB play is better? Not buying that, besides the WR / TE play is as good as ever so in theory the QB's play should be better. But it is generally not!

It's not summer anymore; Colder weather changes things. Happens every year.
From the 2010-2022 season,(A 13 year period that the majority of Cowher's players & coaches had left) Mike Tomlin has only won 3 playoff games. And two of those wins were against back up Quarterbacks. Currently, Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in 6 years.

Dolphin fans in the 90ís held on to Don Shula for too long for what he did in the playoffs in the 70ís...
Are the same as Steeler fans (of 2023) holding on to Tomlin for too long for what he did in 2008, with Cowher's players & coaches.
