people were questioning why we didn't accept the Packers offer for Claypool instead of the Bears.

GB is now 5-8 while Chicago is 3-10, looks like we chose the correct one.

I think if he takes another job, it will be one that's ready to compete right away.
Well -- he can take a look at this team and conclude with his guys in there and him coaching Pittsburgh might be closer than our record indicates. All teams the fire their coach are re-builds to one degree on another. Give him a 4 year deal and a known stable owner he might take it! No team that wins a playoff game is holding their spot for him.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. Art Rooney II, get a new head coach.

Current mock draft as of 3-18-24

    1. QB Nix
    2. C Fraizer
    3. OT Fisher
    3B. DL Smith
    4. S Bullock
    6. WR Pickney
    6. CB Newton

Richardson was supposed to be one of those stud QBs of the 2023 draft class, but he's been a disappointment this year.

#10 pick is ~$22.25MM guaranteed, ~$13MM of which is due at signing. Would have to be one hell of an NIL deal.

CHI is an interesting QB case. Talented guy that hasn't learned to play from the pocket. Way too many scrambles and runs.
This is something I've been watching with Pickett. His % passing from the pocket has risen since his first start. It's now within a whisper of the top QBs.

The mobile QB's are getting hurt ( Murray and Jackson ) and Young is a small 5'11 ( let him measure up at the pro day ) 190 pound man. I doubt Chicago is taking a QB. Houston though might. The shelf life of a running QB is about 5 years. After that they tend to drop off play wise or miss a season due to injury or off the field stuff.

Yep. It's why Purdy lasted to the 7th round, too small to be a long term answer even with a stellar OL. Every team wants the Roethlisberger/Allen/Hurts at QB. At best most teams end up with an LJ, Murray, Fields.

I'm not counting Fields out yet. He's big and strong and really needs some weapons and a better OL. Credit to him for making plays with his legs but I think he will be a better on schedule QB the more help they get him.
