maybe the rest of y'all... I'm typically looking at the team weaknesses and the viable draftees within 3-4 games. Gives me a few weeks to figure out which random games i'll watch to get to know a player.

    1. Best LT on the board (there are 3-4 that would be reasonable)
2a. Best C on the board (I've read lots of good things about John Michael Schmitz)
2b. Best G on the board (I've read lots of good things about O'Cyrus Torrence)

CB is certainly a need. LIl Peezy is going to be on the short list. He is a willing run defender and has solid cover skills - that's a Steelers DB all day long. I wonder if familiarity with a player personally can influence your decision to select or pass on them.
I think I'd be generally happy with this provided there weren't guys who were obviously better values than the guys we picked.

I think most of the guys we have on the OL are NFL caliber players. But are any of them are top 1/3 of the guys at their position? Let's stock up on talent.

And (I'd bet you agree) that being good at run blocking is part of "protecting Kenny" here.

I highly recommend going LT in Round 1 and Center with our 2nd pick in Round 2.

Get a LG in the later rounds. Nothing changes until the OL is upgraded considerably.

Like your mock there... would not be upset with those top 3 at all

Sadly, too many needs for one draft. So this is a two year project. Offense early in 2023. Defense early in 2024. Gonna have a couple of ho-hum seasons to get through.

This. If they fix the OL and get one more weapon and a real OC, though, it doesn't have to be a ho-hum 2023.

Keep seeing a lot of talk about how the Steelers need help along the OL.

While they do, that need for help does not outweigh the massive need for a shutdown CB, one that Pittsburgh must find quickly like this offseason.

CB is a big need but the deciding factor is the Steelers spotty record to identify quality DBs in the draft. OL is a much easier position to project success. So LT gets the nod.
The Steelers can look for a CB in FA, but need to be prepared to pay premium dollars for a premium player.

What about the guy you loved, layne?
Isn’t he ready to step in and be the stud you predicted?
    Lol
    Update:
    In the last decade:
25% of the league has won a super bowl. The steelers are not one of them.
19 teams have as many or more playoff wins as the steelers.
25 teams have won at least one playoff game, none have a worse playoff win percentage than the steelers.
